Any idea what “type” of oil (sweet/sour) they are finding in Alfalfa County? Just wondering how much a barrel is going for.
Mike see if this is any help

Also Wheeler, where are you finding what the wells are producing per month?
http://imaging.occeweb.com/imaging/OGProd.aspx
This is the purchaser report, choose form 300R, and Chesapeakes purchaser number is 19229, Sandridge is 20580
McKenzie, Wheeler thanks for the info…Wheeler, what does the number on the far right represent? Natural Gas or Oil, and is it the total produced for the month? The numbers seemed kind of low, unless Im reading it wrong.
Thanks again Wheeler, any idea if they are finding “sweet” or “sour” oil?

Has anyone heard anything on the MAXWELL MURPHY 2-25-12 1H in Alfalfa? I think it was Chesapeake’s project in 2013…

OCC approves 2 more wells to retrieve more than 2 million BO 14-26N-11W…
Quick question on some legalese that I found in a notice I received about 2 addtnl wells being drilled on our section to recover all available oil. The Order has the following statement in regards to Allowable…“For any of the two wells that is classified an oil well, an 80-acre oil allowable is established by geological and engineering exhibits filed in the cause. All gas wells on the unit will share a single-unit gas allowable for said common source of supply”. Any help in what this is stating would be appreciated.
Thank you for that quick feedback. Very informative. We will hope for many months of production.
What I’ve found is that most wells do drop from initial production. When new, the formations are still clean but the movement through the shale fractures or sand, of gas, oil and water carries particles of formation material and this slowly builds up. Also, when the well is first opened, the formation pressure is released for the first time and there is a great difference between the pressure in the formation and the pressure (or lack of it) in the casing and the production is closer to the well bore. As production continues, the production has to travel a greater distance and there is more resistance to flow. Wells drilled into the Mississippian formation are generally long producers.
A general question regarding these wells. The production has fallen by more than half in a relatively short period of time. I expected that based on previous info I have read. They have been producing for a year or so. Does anyone know how long a horizontal well will produce? At what production point will they shut it down? Do they ever re-frak the wells? Thanks for all the great input.
