Yes Timmy but at what cost if we can’t have a leader that is even competent enough to let us burn natural gas into energy to run a pumping unit but instead we have to burn it at the site and not even use its electricity to run anything! It does NOT help.
The Department of Energy released their 601 page report on the impact of expanded LNG exports. A fairly short industry view of the report is in the link below, although the environmental press machine had ready their spin as it being a economic and environmental disaster to expand imports. As industry has a chance to digest and respond to the report, expect more to come out about its flaws. Not the I expect this to have any impact on what Trump will do. He will likely undo the permitting freeze promptly.
And now we find out the Biden Administration suppressed a study that was going to find expanded LNG exports would actually have resulted in a modest decrease in carbon emissions. They buried the draft study and did their “pause” on new permits instead. Way to “follow the science”!
