This was left to me by my father, I recently got things transferred into my name in the mineral rights registry,. He passed away 5 years ago in February,. I know very little about pooling and if anything for payments is somewhere for me and how I get it.

The mineral rights registry is just a “phone book”. It is not the official holding place for title. The county courthouse is the only place. You have to file the probate documents there. If you did not respond to the pooling notices back when they were done, then you (or your father) would have been assigned the lowest royalty and the highest bonus. You need to contact Camino for the funds that they are holding for you. They will require title proof such as a probate or affidavit of heirship. In order to receive royalties, they will probably require a probate.

Camino oil just started drilling after my dad passed away, I dont recall anything being sent to me for paperwork on pooling. I looked up the dates the wells started and stopped, royaltys start 6 months after or something. I’m wondering about the leasing bonus payment I should get, the wells produced 281 barrels per day and also produced natural gas.

Look in your dad’s papers and see if he was already leased or if he responded to a pooling order.
If he was already getting royalties from the Moonshine, Blackjack or Meadow wells in 25, then he was held by production and would not have been able to lease or be pooled.

If he was getting royalties from the Bashara, Dandy or Gill wells in section 36, then he would not have been eligible to lease or get pooled.

All those wells are owned by United Production CO LLC, but the payments may be coming from DCP Midstream. If he was getting royalties, you need to get any heirs into pay status by contacting United first.

The pooling orders for 25 and 36 are the following cases. Look them up on the OCC OAP website and see if his name is listed in the respondents. If so, then contact Camino and find out what you need to do to collect the pooling and royalty funds. All heirs should do the same. The OAP site is: OAP

I am the only heir to the property

Unfortunately, this is not recognized as a official and will be ignored.

You will probably need a probate. Since your father passed away 5 years ago a simplified summary probate is probably the way to go.
