Cana Woodford Shale (AKA Anadarko Woodford) - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I do not get those numbers. I just get gas units, and oil units on my reports. Not as detailed as yours I guess. Rick, the dollar amount has not changed very much from month to month. I am expecting to see a drastic reduction in prices for gas soon as the margins drop down to 2 dollars per thousand.

David, That search app. can be tricky, just make sure you enter all information in correct box, select “equals” in middle box put 0 in front of single digits. Example:

Section equals 36 click add entry

Township equals 03N add entry

Range equals 05W add entry

Click get result. Let me know if that works.

If you are looking up a particular section you specify section, township and range as in the example below, it will show all filings for that section. You have to put all three entries in the search box before you hit “get result”. If you want to see all filings of a certain type then you select “relief sought”. Example:

Relief Sought Equals 50 (spacing) click add entry then click get result.

You will get a listing of all applications for spacing since the beginning of time. They will come up starting from oldest, there is a > button you can click to reverse the order. You can do the same for pooling, location exception etc. just enter the number specified in the instructions for relief sought.

Hey Zeke,

Hows that “hope and change” working out for ya? Liberal crackpot journalism is still alive in OK and its called The Oklahoman.

Works out for me I guess. Barak Osama screws the oil companies, the price of oil goes up, I get a bigger check. Kind of sux for the rest of America though.

Who’s calling who an idiot? There’s more drilling going on now than during the former president’s term.

I’m looking for landowners in Blaine, Major or Woods counties who are currently hosting oil or gas rigs on their property. I’m a reporter for the Oklahoman and NewsOK, and I can be reached at [email protected]. Thank you!

Well spoken Francis. Hosting? How quaint!

Lynden, I wouldn’t mind seeing NG somewhere in between, say $7.50 I could live with that.

It is mistake of the largest order to think that whatever oil that is produced in the Woodford Shale play makes any difference at all in the world oil price. Those prices are moved by false rumor, moved by real rumor and a couple of hundred other factors that production in Oklahoma has nothing to do with. You want $2.00 gasoline, the mineral owner gets $40 oil. You want $100 oil as a mineral owner, we all get $3.75 gasoline.

The mineral owner is under contract, bound by law. The mineral owner has nothing to say about when a well is drilled or why. Only if the mineral owner is a surface owner also can it get interesting. In the end, the cash money on the dining room table does the talking. Everybody caves, no matter how well intentioned.

Natural gas is probably going to stay in the $2 range for an extended period. The price of oil is dropping. Barring some international incident to shake up the world oil markets, oil could continue to drift towards $80 a barrel. From a reserve standpoint the shale gas and oil plays across the U.S. have been wildly successful. As this decline in oil prices continues, if it does, you will begin to see cutback in leasing, cutback in number of wells drilled and finally, shutin of producing wells.

Sorry for the wrong choice of word. I meant crackpot.

What caused the spike up between 07 and 09? So if there was no anti-oil policies oil would be down? Give me anti- oil. I would also like a little anti- N.G. if that is the way it works.

July 2008 the price of oil hit $145. Why?

What caused it ?

Here is a good article about Cushing.

The price of oil is set by the international market. Because the price for WTI, Brent and other indexes is so high we now have 1,974 rigs working in the U.S., 70% of which are drilling for oil. Nat gas which the U.S. mostly does not trade internationally has gone from the $12 range to today’s $2.50 due to oversupply.

Notice the price of oil up to 2008 under Bush was less than $60.00 per barel. Since a Crackpot took office and implimented his anti-oil policies, oil has averaged over $100.00 per barel. Of course drillers are going to drill more when they can get $40.00 dollars a barel more! “Its the economy stupid.” Basic economics doesnt factor into liberal thinking. When presented with the facts they resort to name calling and race baiting, oh and taking credit for things that the other side actualy did while completely ignoring the truth.

Saddam had a relative in the military nicknamed Chemical Ali. You don’t need a huge stockpile of chemical weapons, they are WMD’s after all, and when you tell someone we are coming for so long, it’s not too big of a stretch that someone could drive about 5 to 10 tractor trailers to Syria. Iraq used chemical weapons against Iran for certain and reportedly against the Kurds. After 6 months, I’d have been more surprised if we had found any WMD’s. I think it highly likely that Iran has more than energy on their mind with their nuclear program. I’d be surprised if their wells weren’t producing enough natural gas to fuel all the electric power plants they need.

I have not seen any new power plants or new power grid for all of Iran’s nuclear program.

Iraq blew up its own oil wells. Caused a massive net loss of oil on the market. Drove up the price worldwide. Want to see 145.00 oil again? Bomb bomb bomb Iran
