Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Hi, Liz!

Unfortunately I see no option for you except to wait to be pooled.

You’ll probably receive a choice of: a dollar amt. and 3/16ths, or a larger dollar amt. and 1/8th or you can elect to participate as a partner in the well. (Ron’s post below is correct in that you will have to pay your costs up front should you decide to participate).

After the OCC makes it’s ruling you will have 20 days - I believe actual days, not business days - to select your option. If you do not choose one of the options, the pooling order should state which one will be chosen for you.

Good Luck!

Okay, thanks Ann and Ron. We will keep an eye on them!!!

E A,

I would guess that you are not East of the I-35 (Indian Merdian). Where are your mineral interest? We can look up information on the OCC that may be of use.

Elizabeth Ann Harris,

Since you leased to Walter Oil & Gas in Aug 3rd 2012, there have been 20 additional leases in section 17. Captial Land Service seems to be the activity landman now.

The Township of 5S-1W has had quite a few leases since the first of last year. These leases are in an area from Section 7 down to Section 36, the lower South East half of the township.

I could not find any new or current drilling. I was looking for horizontial drilling vs vertical drilling.

Ron, you may be right however I’ve always had to make advance payment.

Daniel. Yes. The Rose well sucks, so all my eggs are in th 4-4s -2e basket right now. Jones can hold that well for a long time.

This sounds like the fix I am in with HOBBS 2-30H.

"

Mineral owners must also remember that for several operators in the area establishing the Held by Production is a near term goal to hold as many leases as they can as quickly as they can.

Once the various operators get their leasehold Held By Production and this production on any given well has the ability to produce for at least 10 years they will go into a multi well per unit drilling mode, i.e, six wells per unit.

It is going to be frustrating to some mineral owners with one producing well seeing the unit next door to them get six wells drilled in a short period of time. There are many facets about the decision to drill multiple wells in a unit. Geology, financial, price of oil and gas, rig availability and other considerations

The various operators have 100% of the rights to drill the extra wells in a unit as they see fit. Nothing a mineral owner can do will change that. A mineral owner with production should make sure all their estate is in order because these wells will be here for a very long time."

Anyone else seeing this same situation?

Ronald,

Just because someone has a well, it doesn’t mean he will get paid any royalties. I just received my royalty payments and the HOBBS 1-30H, was not included. Last time this happened, they where fracking very close to the well and they shut it down for a couple of weeks. I can not find any activity in the area, so I have no idea what the issue is. I guess I’ll call XTO next week.

Daniel, i am getting royalty checks on the Rose well. Just not anything to talk about. looking for spud on Dubel

Ronald,

Who’s rig do you have on Dubel?

Are there any active wells in or around the areas of Newport or Lone Grove? Like around Township 03S, Range 01W, Section 29 N/2 SW/4; NE/4 SE/4 SW/4; N/2 SW/4 SE/4; SE/4 SW/4 SE/4; SE/2 SE/4 SE/4

Daniel Thompson, I think you mentioned you were from Ca., could you tell me where abouts? Have you heard of Norco near Riverside, Ca?

Terry,

Here is the SPUD report for the Mitchell well, notice it has a much shorter timeframe between spudding and fracking.

I wonder what the reason was for the delay.

Terry,

I did not receive any royalties for HOBBS 1-30H for January, so I guess they have the well shut down again. I’ve not seen any activity on HOBBS 2-30H, as the Drilling Permit expired. There is a Location Exception hearing scheduled for April 8th, but it has been put off at twice already.

It is good to hear what is going on back there. I was there last October and may be coming back this next year again.

Ronald,

I would expect you to get a rig before I do as XTO already has my lease lockin (held by production).

Shirl,

Yes, I have been thru Narco a few times on my travels East or North.

Shirl,

There are no new wells in the last 20 years in your area. I also could not find any activity in the Sections surrounding your Section. Also there seems to be not much, if any, leasing activity out that way.

Shirl,

We are about 3.5 miles north just off Irvine Center Drive.

They have finished fracking the TYER 1-12H , 2-H12 , 3-H12, 4-H12 AND THE MITCHELL 1-1H

Looks like they have stated the oil gathering line north of Springer it is coming across the Jud Little Ranch beside Interstate 35 suppose to go east to Madill they have done the survey work across my place.
