Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Don’t see this very often, XTO drilling a dry hole. Must be more to this than is on the completion report.

Steve dont consider selling. These guys will leave you holding a 30 day pay

They have about 11% of the water backflow out of the Duibel. Should staet seeing gas and oil at Around 25%

Wanted to share will all an letter that received from Stamps brothers /Tuttle Ok. They were offering $4650.00 an acre for my lease in Carter county …Continental is preparing to drill Dixon 1-10-15Xh well … Seems that they really want to get in on the action … I see this a positive that the well has a very good chance of being productive…

Steve,

Is this out in 3S 3W?

Daniel you are correct… Ronald, we are in for the long haul … I am learning that in the process … thing happen when they happen… so many factors as far as rig availability …ect…

I wonder whats up with that XTO (Sam 1-23H) dry completion report. On the test it says waiting from completion. I have heard that in the dry gas areas, some wells are drilling to hold acreage, then waiting for gas prices to go up to complete them.

Look like Bluenight should have the pipeline finished in mid 2013, which I believe is now.

Steve,

I think CR is the big player out your way, but I thought I heard that XTO was interested in the area also. The landman for XTO is RD Williams in Ardmore.

I was searching for the completion date of the pipeline from Carter Co to the Wynnewood refinery and came across this XTO press release. The best part is near the end.

I think one item that maybe holding back production is the lack of infrastructure. The tanks on these pads can only hold so much product and it would probably be a traffic jam with all the trucks trying to unload these tanks more frequently. I am thinking that things will pick up a bit when the pipeline to the Wynnewood refinery is in operation.

Sounds like things are pickup out west. CR and XTO both are showing interest out that way. Be patient, you’ll get more offers. You have heard all the stories before, DON’T SELL, DON’T ACCEPT THE FIRST OFFER, ETC.

Got an offer to buy our mineral interest in Sec 14-5S-3W from Cambria today. They offered $1350 per acre.

We are not planning on selling, but it is encouraging to get the offers. Hopefully things will keep picking up!

I noticed today that XTO is requesting POOLING in sections 22 and 27 of 3S 3W.

What does POOLING in section 22 mean? Is there activity in Section 14?

Richard,

When a mineral owner does not sign a lease with a ‘landman’ the operating company, XTO, Continental, etc will request FORCED POOLING. This is done so all the mineral owners are under lease. The state will give the mineral owner options on the bonus vs royalties percentage. The higher the one time bonus, the lower the royalties. If your are pretty sure a well is going to produce, you will be ahead in the long run to take a smaller bonus and a bigger royalty, maybe as much as 1/4.

I’ll try to scan it and will send it if I can get it scanned. Thanks again.

This is their exhibit B for the well.

Richard,

I have never seen an XTO map. That would be interesting to have one.

The website I use is http://imaging.occeweb.com/imaging/OGWellRecords.aspx

The API # for Carter Co. is 019.

If you just want completed wells the form number is 1002A.

Be sure to enter a search start date and end date or you will get all the wells back to about 1900.

If you just want to look at your section enter something like

2703S03W. Besure to include the leading zeros and no spaces. If you want to look at the complete township/range then enter something like

%03S03W. This will list all the completed wells in that township/range based on the search dates.
