Carter County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

I noticed according to next week’s OCC dockets that JMA and AMB are starting to get busy in 5S-3W Carter County. Looks like they have spacing, pooling, location exception, etc hearings scheduled for sections 5,17,18 33. Do any of you know much about JMA or AMB exploration?

CR is going to drill a well from 150 FNL in section 10, to 150 SNL in section 15. The depth maybe 22,728’ and the lateral could be 10,651’.

This is in 3S 3W. This might take a while to complete.

Anyone recently leased in 12-2S-3W?

I recently received a check from XTO stating it was a SHUT-IN PAYMENT FOR THE SAMPLEY 1-24H Well which is Sec. 24, 3S, 2E. What is going on? By the way, it cost XTO more to print and mail the check than the amount it was for!

Hi Liz! Skim over your lease with XTO & you’ll find a Shut-In provision. It will read that XTO has to pay you “X” dollars per acre/year if they are not producing the well(s). Failure to pay the Shut-In Royalty would result in XTO losing your lease. Ann

Shut-In is often $1 to $5 per acre.

Read a news article the last couple of days that said BNK has placed into operation the oil pipe line from XTO’s oil play in NE Carter Co to the refinery in Wynnewood. I saw this as relieving a small bottle neck as the oil has to be gathered and moved by truck. Maybe the production will increase somewhat.

Elkizabeth,

The 1002C report, is not a plugging report, but rather a cement casing report. The completion report 1002A is dated Jul 2011. However, there seems to be not activity up that way, and lots of activity down in section 33 and 34 3S 3E and going in that direction to Marshall Co.

Elizabeth,

Did you happen to hear about XTO offering to buy up some of the leases. I wonder how wide spread that was.

Elizabeth,

The SAMPLEY 1-24H well was cemented back in 2011. I looked at the activity in section 22, 23, and 24. It seems XTO has stopped working the area. They had 5 drilling permits for section 22 this year, but only completed one of the. These are the CANTRELL wells.

I suspect that XTO has used its drilling and completion budget for the year. The Dubeil was a really good well. The Indian Hills was good but didn’t match the Dubeil.

How can I find out the DIRECTION in which the Walls wells (4) we’re drilled? They were completed in April yet no checks. My sis and I own minerals leased there but XTO fires back the standard “Title delays” response when asked. We are sure at least one Walls well involves us. How can I find this info? Is it on the Corporation Commission site? Thanks!

Elizabeth,

The 4 WALLS wells where completed in April and May of this year. XTO has 6 months to pay the royalty owners before they run into the 12% interest issue. I think it may be 6% if Title issues are involved. The production numbers for the 4 wells are, Well No, Oil BOPD, Gas MCF

  1. 138 3557

  2. 123 3301

  3. 152 3998

  4. 160 3338

Ron,

Something is going on, or not. In Township 3S and Range 3E this year, XTO received 34 drilling permits. They spudded 23 wells and completed 2. Three of these sections 18, 21, 32 and 34 all have multiple wells, around 8 wells each.

Thanks guys for previous answers. I JUST saw them!

Marci,

Does someone have a signed lease?

If your dealing with XTO, you must ask for the STATUTORY INTEREST in writing (e-mail). The interest will come in a separate check.

If you live outside Oklahoma and they take State taxes out, you can file a Oklahoma State Income Tax return and get most of it back.

What section/township/range is your well located? What is the well name?

My mom has the paperwork so i am not sure, but i think it is 1/32 of 40 acres.

Marci,

Here is a copy of the POOLING ORDER. Look at the last couple of pages for the names in the Pooling order.

Also you can see the options for Bonuses and Royalty payments on page 2 or 3.

We sent in all heirship papers and recieved checks in the mail today. my moms check has county taxes and state taxes taken out, my brothers and i only has state. Also we can find nowhere that they paid interest. Should that be listed? Also as far as we can find we were not listed in any force pooling, how do we know the rate they are paying us is correct? We have signed nothing with them.

Marci,

Here is a copy of the completion report.

The well is RISINGER 1-5H

First production was AUG 24, 2010

The well number (API 35019253520001) us this in your corresponds with XTO.

This is your first check? If so they owe you 12% from Aug 24, 2010.

You need to go to there website and register and they select DIVISION ORDERS have e-mail them for a copy. If you never have received the DIVISION ORDERS (DO) they will get those to you ASAP, as this is how you get to pay income tax on the royalties:)
