I understand there are 2 layers that the companies drill down to. I’m being offered to sell the top layer of my rights, retaining the lower.
How often do the oil companies drill into the lower layer?
Minky there are hundreds of formations and it’s all about location, location, location. If you will give your legal description (state, county, etc) you will get more help. Never sell anything until you have an idea of what you own.
Oh, but I do. It’s in CO, Weld County, Section 22 and 23, Township 4 N. I have 20.00 net mineral acres.
Would an oil company go as far as the Codell layer?
