I have a lease in Frio County with Marathon Oil who bought it from another company. They are going to let it expire on the due date in late July. I have learned from one of their employees in the area that they are not planning to renew leases in Frio and that Atascoca county is much more profitable for them when they drill in the Eagle Ford shale. Are any of you being contacted by other companies wanting to lease your land?
Thanks,
Victor Holmes

In NE Frio county - a couple of miles south of 462 between Moore and Bigfoot - no offers and no signs of activity. Drilling just is not going to come to this part of the county.

The map shows a horizontal well on our lease. Would that indicate it was a new well or could it be something else? The wells no. is 32945.
Thanks

kathy,
This is strange. After pulling up the drilling permit by using the well # 32945 and identifying that the Abstract # is 830 I see no such well in Frio County Abstract # 830. S M Sidwell Survey. And this map shows the survey as J H Spillman. This GIS Map must be incorrect.

kathy,
After pulling up the map in a different way I see where you're getting the well # 16332945. Something isn't right about this situation. This second map even shows a different survey name of A C Casanola?

Our lease expired on the mineral rights this past week. Anyone have any suggestions as to who is active in this area? Our property is highlighted in the post above. Would appreciate any assistance.
Kathy, send me a friend request and I will send you a local land man contact. Jimmy
