Thanks to Tim, I obtained a 44 x 36 map of Garfield County from the Assessors office that shows towns sections townships and ranges-cost $30.00. I got it because I wanted to know where the completed producing wells had been drilled since February of 2012, particularly relative to where my mineral interests are located, Sections 31 and 32 of T23W and 3N. I found no producing wells had been drilled since 2/1/2012 in the township nor have any been completed in the township north #24W. Not good news!! The majority of activity has been to the southwest and southeast of Douglas and around Hunter to the north part of the county. I came up with a total of 86 drilled and completed producing wells in the county since 2/1/2012. At least I have an idea of what is going on!! I recorded each well info from the pages of the forum.
Maybe the above will be of interest to some of you. Jim O’Connor
Thanks James for sharing, I don’t have many acres of minerals but I am my few are located southeast of Douglas, at least I would say so 27-21N-3W. I have a very small map that I printed last year and I try to follow info. My little map is getting worn out. I just interest me.
Somebody posted about a program that was presented at a landman conference that can map wells on Google Maps. Cost $50 I think. Can whomever posted that, please do so again. I can’t seem to find it.
We just received a PURCHASE offer from Wake Energy out of Edmond trolling for mineral rights in Garfield county. Their offer is $1200 per acre for all or part. No thanks.
Got an offer in the mail lately for $2200.00 per acre to sell. My legals are 27 21N 3W. It is steadily coming up. Does anyone know of anything even getting close to that location?
@ Deborah: you’re not far our farm. The last offer we received was about 8 months ago for $1800/acre. However, since a few shallow vertical wells have been drilled on surrounding sections and produced very little (50bbl or less), the offers haven’t been coming in at all. Fine by me, as we really don’t have any intentions of selling our minerals. I’m guessing that the pooling orders for 21n-03W Ron reported on a couple of weeks ago have something to do with renewed interest.
This is a post revisiting NE/4 of 14-21-7, Garfield County.Well #1 and well #2 haven’t produced since 2010 and were abandoned, but the land/mineral owners haven’t been able to get a release from the company who now won’t answer the phone or return calls. They called the OCC about getting the sites cleaned up and were told" good luck there are many of these all over the state". I will advise them to call OERB.They were also told that the lease was held by production because there was a producing gas well in the NW/4 of 14-21-7.These are older wells and to my knowledge there was never any pooling involved and the leases have always been seperate.Additionally, the owner in the SE/4 has recently leased her land , so it looks like they have gotten bad info. What do they need to file to get this released? Thanks for your help. Bob
