Ron, again thank you, very interesting. We were offered $600 bonus with 3/16. Maybe I should go back and negotiate on the bonus.

Linda, you’re only a couple of miles from us. Wish we had gotten the terms on the section Ron posted (3 miles from us). Best of luck…hope you get something similar to what these sections have produced in the past.

I received a letter from a lawyer several weeks ago about going to the Corporation Commission, maybe spacing involved, I am section 27, 21N, 3 W. Anyone else involved in this?

Some of you will be receiving multiunit spacing, I would suggest you call the phone # on the spacing order and make sure you understand what is taking place.

This is something fairly new (H B 1909 I think) and does cover 1280 A (2 miles), but not like a person would think. If they perforate (create holes) in the first section with only 6 perforation and the 2nd section with 12 perforation, then the 2nd 640 would get 50% more than the 1st section. Lots of exception to this. But, when they are drill V, if they perforate any of the sands and they produce, only the 640 with the well site would share. Again, check each multiunit spacing out.

Movement hopefully happening in Section 27, 21N, 3W very soon. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Deborah,

We must be neighbors as I have a very small part in 23. They are spacing a multiunit for 23 & 26 and plan on drilling 4 wells in this unit. I will have to wait and see what gets drill before I believe them. Did they space 27 on a 640 A? I know they are drilling in the SW corner of 11 or it could be 12. I get confused because the mile line isn’t open on that sections.

Keep me informed on what is going on.

Deborah,

I have the surface and minerals on 20 A, this is what I was calling a small portion. This was cut off the NW 4 when Hi-way 64 (164) was built. My parents purchases it years ago and used it to wean baby calves. Pretty little piece of land. Seems like they are doing a lot of 1280 spacing in that area. Wonder if there is a reason. Most of my other land is spaced on 640 and I even have some on 320, it may depend on what the wells produce in the area. Don’t know. I haven’t seen a log or any records in the area. I know the Foxfire, in section 26 isn’t a very good well according to records. Maybe someone on here can tell us why they are doing a lot of Multiunit (1280) spacing in that area.

Virginia,

What are you considering a very small part. I only have 13.5 acres myself. They originally came from my husband’s grandfather Frank Coffey. Their acres used to border Hayward Lake, land was sold many years ago, just not minerals. Out of the girls undivided 156 acres, one daughter originally sold both at the time of forced sheriff’s or atleast 1/3 her share. They are using 1280 units for the spacing for me, section 22, and 27th.
