Garfield County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

This gives gas and oil but it is months behind .

Does a person have to wait for division orders to know if a well is producing or not?

http://imaging.occeweb.com/OG/Well%20Records/1DD1B4EF.pdf

Deborah It looks like 27 is a multiunit under 27 & 22 . Could be 2 months or more for production information .

Companies have to file a completion report with OCC, but OCC can take several weeks or more to review. Pipelines have to file gas volumes to OCC, but OCC does not require reports of metered oil, so it’s hard to find oil production. You could try calling:

I leased 10 mineral acres each on Sections 31 and 32 of 23N 3W to Veritis Energy 2 years ago being told by a firm member drilling on 32 would occur by the fall of 2012. It has not happened yet to my knowledge. I purchased a map from Garfield County and have via this forum, gone back to February 2012 and recorded all completed wells in Garfield county. Reflect is that not one well has been completed in 23N 3W or 24N 3W since 2/2012. Veritis was really hot to trot at the time of leasing. Can anyone tell me why they chilled? I assume they did more seismic work and decided there drilling would be fruitless. If anyone can fill me in, I sure would appreciate the in

put. Thank you.

James, They may just be waiting for nat. gas prices to go up. The east side of the Nemaha Uplift is more oil prone and the west side is more gas prone.

James Here is what they were ordered to pay in the pooling for 35.

Interesting article in the Daily OK today about Continental. Could apply to all Oklahoma plays as well…http://newsok.com/business/energy

James- It seems they jump around a lot and watch what is happening around all their leases, and in some cases, they watch which ones are about to expire.Chapparal drilled one 1 1/2 miles from me that came in really good-across the road from our section which they have leased also. When the rig moved away, I called their landman to see what was next and he said they’d probably be back before end of the year.Same story on a place East of Bison-Lease ran out last of Dec.Originall it was for $300 an acre, but this time we told them poker had gone up and if they wanted it the price would be $500.They whined and I told them we had someone waiting to lease it.A week later they came across. We all agreed that next time we would give them a one year lease and maybe more money.Remember-everything is negotiable!!You might call them and get the number for their landman in Garfield County and see what he knows.Good luck. Bob

Thanks for your input, Bob! I should have mentioned also that no intent to drills have shown up ref 23 and 24 since 2/2012. It just seems odd that 2 entire townships have been ignored in total. Incidentally, by my count, 120 wells have been completed in Garfield county since 2/20/2012. I’m all for ther rest of you guys–I just wish companys would start drilling in the NE portion of the county. Thanks again!

Thank you Martha and Ron for your input. Ron, the notice of spud did not come through on 35-23w-3w. It would probably answer my question. Does a drilling company have to file a notice of intent to drill so many days before drilling is to begin? According to the order, Veritis has until May 31 ro begin drilling or the order is void.

Deborah,

You will need to figure out which trailer house is where the main guy is. Then tell him you are a mineral owner under this well and he may tell you something. I haven’t had much luck with Devon people telling a person anything, it’s always a close hole. When they tell me that I automatically go into bad company mod and watch them like a hawk.

Hope you get a good well as I’m right next to you and I sure could use more money to pay my taxes.

I’ve got a very pretty outspoken daughter, if anyone could sway them from a tight mouth, it might be her! ha. After all she has taught kindergarten for 15 years, she has a way of finally getting things out of a child. ha ha.

James the well was spud 12/3/13

Virginia, no I haven’t since I was off on President’s Day. It is my first and only well, and I thought maybe they were hushed mouth about it. I live in Anadarko but am off for spring break this week. I might swing by Edmond and pick up my daughter who is also out for spring break to drive to the well site with me. She might find it interesting to see her great grandparents house replaced with an oil well. Thanks Virginia for all of your tips, I can see you are well literate!

Found these two photo’s and when there last I noticed the old black pump on well is still there along with the new rig!

Deborah,

I think it’s nice that you have some wonderful memories of your grandparents place. But, M D is right, I hope you have your pump the next time you go there. I hate to think of all the things that have been stolen from me. And oil companies have lots of lost also. Seems their are some draggiest around that area and they need the money. Hope you get a good well. Most of the wells in that area are coming in about 80 to 200 BBD. Haven’t heard of anything bigger.

This waiting game of seeing if their will be production or a dry whole is hard to be patient on. Section 27, 21N, 3 W

Taking longer for a horizontal multi-unit to be completed as I have been told.
