Garfield County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

M D.

All oil company must pay you within the 6 months from the first sale of oil or gas. If they don’t, you will need to write a letter and tell them they are over due and you can receive 12% interest. This is under the Okla. Statues.

Does anyone have any information regarding the Longfellow Energy well Peach 32 M4H 32-20-5 Garfield/Kingfisher Co. The production on this well was approximately 150 BOPD then a new well was completed Peach 32 M3H and they shut down the M4H during the fracking process for the new well when they re-started the M4H production decreased to 30 BOPD on the M4H. The M3H is consistently producing about 90 BOPD. I have now been told that they have stopped production on the M4H since July 1 but no reason was given as to why. Do they normally do this to try and stimulate the production? The M4H has been producing since Oct. 2012. I can’t imagine they are just abandoning this well? Any insight or information is greatly appreciated!

I joined the forum trying to find out about any wells recently drilled near Sections 31 and 32 23W 3n. Reason? I leased mineral rights on both sections to Veritis EnergyLLC about 14 months ago with the understanding drilling would begin late last summer on 32. Now Veritis tells me that due to minimal production on nearby wells by other companies they are having second thoughts. Yet the Oklahoma Corporation commission tells me they have no rtecords of any wells drilled anywhere near 32. I’d like to know the real deal-anyone know what that might be? Are they just pulling out of thid area? Help!!! Jim O’Connor

James A well in 21-23n-3w tested 50 MCFD no oil. One in 2 -22n-3w that tested 5 BOD & 537 MCF of gas . They have a well in in 3 but could find no completion report on it. There are some better wells in 22n-4w .

The statute that Ms. Pflum is reffering to is "The production revenue standards act: More specifically "52 O.S. 570.10 (B)(1)(b) & (D)(1) reference that statute in your certified letter to the operator and things will move a little faster.

Linda I friend requested you as I have a question about Plymouth. Thanks!

Mark

James, We had someone contact us about a small interest in 35-23N-3W a couple of years ago. Nothing since. I do not know what kind of activity is in that area but they are not hot to lease form us now it seems. I think Continental was pretty hot leasing around Garber but do not know if they went that far East of town. Let me know if you find anything out on that area.

I don’t see any drilling activity in 23N…3W

Thanks Linda and Virginia. We received a check for October through May, the next day after I posted the question. Thanks!

Thanks Steve! I will remember that if I ever need it. The check finally came a little late for the 6 month rule but it is here. Makes my dad feel better.

Thanks to all of you who offered input ref my inquiry on Sections 31, 32 23W 3N. Jim O’Connor

This kind of find in the Woodward shale could open up new drilling possibilities for Garfield County. Hope everybody’s leases were signed to allow for more cash for drilling in different zones…

We received a contract from Gateway for a 3-D geophysical survey. The offer is $10.00/acre. Is this the going rate and any advice on what to remove or put in the contract? Thanks! Mari

Wrong county but I own land near Loyal in Kingfisher County and got a lease offer on my minerals today. I didn’t lease to CHK a year or so ago and now the consortium of CHK and the Chinese outfit are going back in and filling in all the holes on unleased acreage. Sounds like things are about to start hopping around there…

They are offering $400 an acre plus 3/16th royalties, what they offered last time…

@Mari: I believe thats what we got 2 years ago.

@Tim: Are you going to lease to chk? We’ve had some terrible experiences with that company. Price fixing, deductions that shouldn’t have been there, and so on…

@Steve: This is terrific news…our farm is on the exact same vertical line as that Woodford hit (just a bit south of there).

I have not talked to the leasing agent to get details on who they are leasing for. Apparently the area has opened up and the areas that weren’t leased before are being pursued. I assume Jackfork Land is leasing for CHK but I have heard Continental may also be moving in there (unconfirmed). If we lease to CHK the lease will be buttoned down very tightly…

I have leases with CHK and Continental and I wouldn’t lease to either again. They both belong in the same pot. I can not Continental to release a lease that has expired over 7 months ago and my lease states a release will be filed at the co clerk office within 6 months. They told me to get a lawyer if I want it released, I even offer to write up the release for them to sign, nothing. Now they won’t even call me back. CHK doesn’t give you the right % of your money. It took me almost 1 year to get my first check from Continental, when I ask for interest they never heard of anything like that. So, I sent the rules and a letter. They did finally pay it at 12%, but they weren’t very happy about it.
