Don already answered the 1-6N-7W. Well activity and pending royalties. 26-7N-7W Camino has pending wells there. Hearings in early July. Since wells are pending in 26, probably why there are offers in 27. If you are not getting all the OCC documents, then make sure your name and address or filed at the county courthouse. Camino has a pooling coming on 26, so get in touch with them if you are not leased.
Thanks much Martha and Don, Is this the right conclusion: the current per acre value of offers is based upon past production, not the promise of future value through pooling, new wells, etc. But that promise is why they’re offering, L3 claims it is buying to keep, not flipping.
I talked with 3 different people at Grady County Courthouse and all said they had no way of filing my name and address. Is there a number you have for contacting the right person???
L3 Resources buys minerals and sells them to Eckard Land and Acquisition for a profit. Many larger type groups like Eckard use brokers like L3. But yeah, technically they are not keeping them. Just FYI.
Grady County (405) 224-7388 Did you try this number? Not sure if it is the correct one. You want the minerals clerk, not the criminal clerk.
Indexing of Name and Address:
You need to have you name associated with a Deed or some documentation that shows you are the owner of Mineral Rights in the County…
It sounds like you may not have your deed for Mineral Rights Filed with the County. When you have a Deed filed the County Clerk indexes your name on their records database for their County and lists your property description by your Name Index entry. If you change your name or address you need to Notarize a change of address document and have the County Clerk file record and index that document. This is all so a oil landman(for example) can use the County Data records to search for your ownership with a computer search of the County records. If a recorded deed isn’t indexed properly or you change your address you probably will not get any notices from minerals produced from your Minerals. This is why you should do a search of the Count records by your name to see if your minerals are properly recorded!!! The system depends on YOU to keep your ownership of Minerals and contact info up-to-date.
Thanks Bud, That’s a good detailed description of the process. You’re a great resource to this community of owners!
