Help I need to know about Velma Sims Tracts 2,3,42,43,19

Rick, I went to the occeweb site but I’m having trouble searching for the Velma Tussy Unitization. I’ve tried everything in those search engines. What am I doing wrong? Nothing comes up. I would think it would of been done at the same time as the Velma Sims Unitization, and that is in the database?? I’m along ways from Duncan.

Sometimes the name on the stubs do not match the legal name.

You can search using wild card of "%" %Velma% or %tussy% I don't see anything that fits that name. Sometime it is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I’ve tried everything to find that unitization. Any word on that hearing today for Marathon?

Hearings from Monday were continued to today. Since the is the first hearing I doubt anything was completed, but we should know in a couple of days.

Good evening, any word on the hearings for Marathon?

Rick, How can I make sure that I’m not missing pooling for my mineral rights? I read some stuff about Chevron and their projections for 2014. They stated that they were spending billions out of the county on drilling and a very small amount in the USA. And I mean a small amount, barely enough to do 3 horizontal wells. They also stated that they were not interested in the Oklahoma Shale. Then they stated later on in the article that they have prime property in the Stephens area already. What are they up to. Chevron has been plugging my stuff since 2002 and is still plugging my property. I’m a little disappointed to say the least. They could at least let the mineral owners know what they’re doing. I’ve emailed and called and left my customer #. I’m just asking Chevron to tell me their plan with my property. I finally got call only to tell me they would be calling me. Also, shouldn’t I be receiving pooling info on some of the recent orders? I have nothing. I was getting some, then nothing, and only on Sec. 19, but that was weeks ago.

If they are holding areas by production they will just assign the interest in the additional formations to someone that is interested in drilling the shale or do a farmout on it. They are plugging the ones that are dry or not economical to produce. Honestly Chevron is not going to tell you their plan. They really are not under any obligation to do so. It is really "their" property. It was leased to them, the simply have to give you a portion of the sales and give it back when they are through with it.

That is the reason a common statement I make is "The bonus "may" not be the most important part of the lease.

It is hard to say what you "should" be receiving on poolings. If you are held by production or leased, you won't get anything. You can follow it at OCC's website. But that can be a bit difficult for some. I've chosen to use third party tools to follow ours, but that is not an economical solution for most mineral owners.

I know of a service being setup to provide some of these notifications to the casual mineral owner that should be affordable. Until then making sure your info is current in the court house and doing a search on your areas every month of so is the best bet.

Rick, I’m current with the court house and I will pay attention. I was afraid that I would be at the mercy of this oil giant Chevron. If they are plugging, but there are resources deeper than the well that they already drilled, could it be possible to plug the vertical wells then drill a horizontal there? It seems they are plugging mine, but the areas all around my sections are being fracked extensively. Another question…what if Chevron decides not to develop the further mineral play on my property, and sits on it. What rights do I have? Also, is a plugged well the same as an abandoned well?

Rick, got a reply from Chevron, my questions are mostly answered. I just wanted to let you know, so you wouldn’t waste time.
