How to make claim as survivor of deceased lease holders?

What does "JJin" stand for?

I've hit a dead spot on locating the Stillwater Landman. After contacting the ones in the list provided here, I hit on the idea to look In Mothers phone book. She has his name and number and its no longer valid. Steve Lock or Locke. The number now rings as an edward d jones office and they assure me, no one there with that name.

JJ in Newkirk, its just a play on my name and location.

The Landman's Association Directory does not have a listing for anyone with the name "Lock". And only two for "Locke":

John Locke III

Frost Bank

San Antonio

(210) 220-6045

and

Phillip W Locke

San Migeull Resources Consultants

San Antonio, Tx

210-829-4888 x107

I was trying to figure out if you were a man or a woman.

I'm not an Attorney and always advise people to consult one in instances like this, but from my experience you will need to request certified copies of any court matters regarding any of the decedents = Where Wills were probated or, in cases where people died intestate, Administrations were had, and file them in the County where the subject property is located.

That and prepare an Affidavit or a series of Affiavits of Marital and Family History or Affidavit(s) of Heirship on everyone in the family down to the present and file those of Record in the County where the property is located.

You may end up needing more, like certified copies of Certificates of Death, but those two main things should just about do it.

Hope this helps -

Charles

On the Texas minerals, my thoughts are that I need to at least locate the area this lost document was referring to before hiring any one to see if they are still valid.

Going back to the producing well, I have a few questions. On the Oklahoma Corp Commission site, the document show first date of production was in April. Well completion date of July. There is no prduction reports, no first purchaser reports, no clue at all as to what this well has done. Its confusing as I have the api number, op number, everything that others seem to be able to locate info with, but, I am drawing a big blank. Am I just not looking in the correct spot?

I also , after reading lots of info here and on the web, think the company "claiming' they did not have any of our addresses to send the division orders to, believe it was nothing more than a ploy to delay payment. Our lease states it will be paid monthly. After contacting them, the company that writes the checks, said they would get our payment in the mail immediately, however, later, was told we will be set up for the next round , Nov 15. Will they owe us interest?

My personal favorite of the two possibilities.

A number of the County Clerk's Records in Texas are available on line. If you can figure out or even just guess what county the property is located in, you may be able to find something under your family's name.

I am not familiar with the OCC website. Have you tried calling them? Is there a tutorial listed in the Forums links page?

Why would the date of first production be before the completion date?

If the well produces gas, what has been reported may only be from testing procedures. When the well eventually comes on line for constant production may depend upon getting a pipeline built to it.

Sorry, but no, they don't owe you any interest.

Thanks for Responding Charles.

I did contact the OCC . Here was the reply.

As the law states, oil production is reported to the Oklahoma Tax Commission (OTC), not the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC). Natural gas production data is reported to the OCC. The OCC does have all gas production data on available through its website, but the OTC does not have oil production on a web site. You can contact the OTC and inquire about oil production: 405-521-4558

As for well completion/first production, maybe they took that long to get the premament tanks in place, but, really just a guess. When I drove around that area looking for it, I saw several sites with what looked like temp tanks with a pump in place. Its a very active area on the Kansas/ Oklahoma state line.

Interesting. I did not know about that quirk.

Sounds like you have a pretty good handle on everything.

Where is Newkirk?
