Just Sold My Lease!

Just sold a QEP lease in a Sec 29 well that I posted here last year! I needed help in evaluating responses and asked Travis Cogburn of WAYMAR who bought my mineral interests in Beckham Co. if he would act as an agent in screening prospects (I'm in Ohio and have no clue). He made sure the value was represented honestly and he found a real buyer among the opportunists. I'm going to miss reading the discussions here...

Since we all have interest in what things are going for, would you mind sharing what the selling price per acres was and where part of the county it was?

This was not the mineral interests but an ongoing lease with QEP that has survived

the 20 year expiration after selling the surface and mineral interests in 1993.

Weymar calculated a value for the lease on production and my share of proceeds

according to the division order on a well in Section 29-15N-7W SE/4 and represented

me in the sale. They were able to raise the inital offer from the buyer but said it was

still fair for both parties. Travis Cogburn has his research on the value but more

important, he knew who was worth dealing with as opposed to all the opportunists.
