Kingfisher County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

There are 4 wells in your section, at least 3 active and producing.

JW Kelly holds the SW/4

Lydia V Williams holds the SE/4

Mary Hoffman holds the E/2 NE/4

Vogt holds the NW/4 (conflicting info; this one may be plugged?)

If this is all correct, then the only area not leased in the section is the W/2 of the NE/4 and possibly the NW/4.

However, there are 3 very recent leases that were signed from the NW/4.

What is your legal? How many net mineral acres do you own?

If your interest is small and the production is small, it can take months or years to accumulate enough money to cut a check of their minimum amount.

If your property is in the NW/4 or the W/2 of the NE/4, there may be some hope for a lease.

Thanks M Barnes, I appreciate the information.

House Bill 2177 is being discussed in the Oklahoma House right now, and it impacts royalty owners. It’s worth the time to read and listen to this.

Can anybody tell me if any activity is expected on Sec 7 T:17N R:5W?

Is there anything going in Sec 7, 16N, 7W?

Debra:

Felix Energy expressed some interest in drilling, by letter, a few months ago in 9-16N-7W. However, there are no causes filed yet with the Corporation Commission. In section 17, immediately to the SouthWest, Newfield has just recently filed a pooling order. So there is good reason for hope, but nothing firm yet.

The well in our section was put in to production last week. 1) What is the typical timeframe at this stage before we see our first check? 2) Where can I look on line for the monthly oil and gas production amounts?

Scott, they do not have to cut the first check to you until six months after the first production. You will get a Division order to sign first. Make sure it is correct. Should only be one page on the NADOA form and have the words" this does not change any terms of the lease" or something like that.

Here is the production link. Usually about four months behind

JW, if I did anything wrong I apologize, I own minerals in two counties, one in OK, and one in Texas and a Landman with knowledge as well. I thought this would be a good place to discuss our material, but I now know that would be in the market place. Sorry to upset anyone…

would be better if you move this discussion to Mkt Place tab

M Barnes, I do believe that MKT place would be best but before you call me out, look at my profile, I am landman that waited years to join this site. We have something special and I am not afraid to share, however I also will help anyone in the Oil and Gas game, I am a professional and have a recycled product to boot. makes me twice the land professional… I have been on one day and will quit tomorrow, but I have insight and knowledge in this business, so if If I want to market recycled material that benefits all, and share my Oil and Gas knowledge to those that need it who are who you to judge me?

Thank you Mr. Barnes.

Edward, yes quite a bit. Go on the OCC website into the case files sections and type these different case numbers in. Look at the Exhibits and the Orders.

Margaret,

Speaking as a geologist, the initial daily production is highly dependent upon many factors-reservoir, completion techniques, vertical vs horizontal well, long horizontal versus short horizontal, choke, operator, etc. So you have to know more to compare in an apples to apples way.

Not sure what your question is, but if Newfield holds your lease, you will not be involved in the pooling. I do not see a pending pooling on either of those two sections, but it may not be announced yet. I do see where Husky has been granted the Horizontal Drilling and spacing unit of 640 acres for the Mississippi Lime, Woodford and Hunton. I attached the Exhibit. That is good news for you if you are leased. They are applying for a similar spacing in Sec 21. Again good news. This is not the same as pooling. No guarantee that they will drill the wells, but is generally good news that progress is headed your way.

Date of hearing is May 19th, but applicant is requesting that Order “be effective as of the date of the execution thereof or as of a date prior thereto.” So, is the corporation commission issuing Orders that are retroactive? How is that legal?

A huge thank you for that answer. If you have time for a picture, I would be very interested.

p 3 of 3

This is a screen shot from the last page of one of those two orders which shows the shallow spacing and the deep spacing of 29 for 640 acres. That deep spacing will extend to 21 (and probably nearby sections in the future)

This is potentially good news for all of you in the area. It means that they are planning to drill horizontal Woodford wells in the future.

Hope this helps you visualize it better.

MB - you have been so helpful. All is very interesting. Are you employed with the OCC by any chance?
