Kingfisher County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Kingfisher: Hinkle Oil & Gas Inc.; Jech No. 1-20H Well; SE1/4 SE1/4 SW1/4 SE1/4 (SL) of 20-17N-05W; 263 barrels oil per day, 569,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 11,560.

To add an info point to the Kingfisher group, after Chesapeake pulled out there did not appear to be continuing interest in leasing the 53.3+ net mineral acres in the SW/4 of Sec 35-18N-05W which I have. The Chesapeake offer that I declined at the time but which was accepted by the other mineral interest holders in this 1/4 section was $400/A for 3 years with 2 yr option at 400/A.

Has anybody out there dealt with R.K. Pinson and Associates on leasing? They seem to operate differently than other land companies I have worked with in the past, and I would like to hear if anybody else has had problems with them. Thanks!

Archie there is a lot of leasing by several Co. In 17n -4w and 17n-5w. Here is what they were ordered to offer in a pooling as close as I could find.

Thanks Ron – I am about 4 miles west of s4 17 4w. The section I am in was mostly originally leased to Chesapeake and contains several old wells. Are the leasing companies entering old production areas and drilling horizontally with fracking to bring production back up?

The Horizontal in most cases has nothing to do with old production. In most cases you are talking about different formations .

Here is a very interesting 3rd Quarter report from Newfield Exploration which leased my minerals in Kingfisher County this summer. It looks very promising for this area.

I got a letter yesterday from McDonald Land Services in Kingfisher wanting to lease my 160 acres in the NW quarter of 16-17N-9W for Newfield for the purposes of doing seismic. The price was $10 an acre which is the going rate. What it does say is that things are about to get very active in this part of KF County. My Brother in law owns some minerals right next to me, and has already gotten offers to sell his mineals for $2600 an acre through the mail. He is not going to sell, but good info…

Very encouraging results on the Newfield wells, Ron. These are the new play of theirs. Depth of the wells are much deeper, and results appear to be better too. Newfield has my lease in 16-17N-9W.
