Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Todd, the directive from the bank would be the subordination agreement, yes.

HBP means “held by production”

Ok thanks Mr. Murray.

Mr. Wilson - Do you ever review or copy your post to a program so you can spell check your post prior to posting and clicking the “Add Comment” button?

Vern, I must admit, even being a professional writer, on the Internet, it is rare that I use smellcheck or bother to read what I have typed. This is just the nature of the Internet, it operates at faster than lightning speed, faster than Slawson can get a rig set up to drill, however, since you have pointed it out, I wil indeed attempt to watch the curser go by and correct anything I see that does not work. Thanks for the help.

Keystone pipeline is in the news again, seems President Obama is almost to the point of just totally disapproving it and it will never be completed. This is probably the most important thing in our world of minerals in Logan and other counties there is today. I myself have mixed emotions about it. Approval will undoubtedly mean a dramatic increase in fracking and I am just not convinced this is a good thing in any way. On the other hand, everyone knows the oil is down there, so how else could we possible get it? Maybe the power of the most 2 important words in the Emglish language come into play, “WHAT IF?” My bet is that there are a lot of minds pondering this very thing, “what if…” at this very minute. Because I thiink the days of fracking are limited. And a lot of residents of Logan County and Central Oklahoma are hoping they will just stop. I can understand why.

Slawson using these Donkey Kongs should not surprise us, especially for the low producers. My concern is that this pumpjack technology is as old as the 18th century, and not much of anythng is going to happen production wise today. I wonder if they use technology that old to make their Smoothies? Sounds like they oughter do some more serious fracking whil the government still allows it, because I am sure heavy restrictions are staring them in the face for controlling these minature, artificial earthquakes.

I must admit to making many typing errors, but try to redeem myself by finding good information like this slide show presentation on West Virginia oil and gas (couldn’t find one about OK). West Virginia mineral laws follow the “Rule of Capture” and so does Oklahoma. http://wvsoro.org/resources/pooling_unitization/slide_01.html

Virginia can you help J with this?

Has anyone heard of a 2 pad collection facility (collection only site)? Our friend was contacted by Devon for such on his property. He was told that there would not be drilling on his property it was a collection site only.

Weston,

Were they trying to buy like 10 Acres from him? I was approach to sell 10 A for a collection site. I didn’t want to sell, so they went a few miles away and now it’s a place where they put trucks, trailer storage and just plain junk. Is this what he is talking about?

Nice maps for Logan County activity p. 18

no new ones at the moment. There is room, but I suspect it would be a while.

Anybody able to acces information for future well sites if any (top hole ) in sec 24 or 25 19N 2W? Curious to how the area might be mapped out after the wells from sec 23 19N 2W. Thanks in advance.

I agree with Harley 100% and would do nothing differently. Al-be-it true that our title was a likttle cloudy, and payment, if any due, has been somewhat delayed. Bottom line for myself, is it is just not worth worrying about, and I trust those in control to the point that I believe no one is trying to cheat us out of anything. it just has to work out.

I am new to the site. Would like to say hello to everyone who has any dealings in Logan County. I am a mineral owner and would like to connect with others and found this website.

Can we discuss educational opportunities for me as a mineral owner so I can be an informed and knowledgeable mineral owner. Any comments, suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.
