Logan County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Virginia, lots of old Miss Lime verticals made too much water, but they pump jacked them slow for a long time. Take a look at Aus Tex’s verticals in Kay County, Oklahoma

Does anyone know what the current status is on the drilling in Section 11-16N-03W? Thanks!

Does anyone have any info on well in Section 22, Township 18N, Range 4W - name is the Daisy 1-22. Slawson is producer. Can’t locate any info on OCC database. Thanks

Found out today that Stephens Production bought all of Slawson’s wells in Logan County. That may be old news but new to me.

Debbie, try contacting Stephens Production Company, one of the largest privately owned, independent natural gas companies in the U.S. It’s part of The Stephens Group.

Debbie, I looked several places and found nothing with that well name but did find pooling. Where did you see the well name?

Amerlist: No permit for 11 yet.

Anybody heard anything about 16-17N-4W? There seems to be much activity around this Section but so far I am unleased and no offers.

Is anyone having problems getting on OCC well database today?

Martha,

Thank you. Looks like we will all be making a lot of trips to the courthouse. I’m hoping OCC is only upgrading their site.

Ron. Thanks for the information. I will try and be patient as I wait for any news on my section.

Kirk, is your address correct at courthouse? Township 17N Range 4W is active. In the pooling for Section 10 dated 5/28/14 they were ordered to offer $700 for 3/16th, $500 for a 1/5th or no cash and 22% royalty. The well in Section 10 tested 347 BOD & 522 MCFD of gas. I would be in no hurry to lease and after they file for force pooling in Section 16 you should be able to do better leasing to a third party. I also found where a 1/4 was paid for some leases in Section 10.

Virginia, I’ve been having problems since Saturday. OCC system will no longer produce reports using legal description alone, but maybe they are going to fix the problem. However, Payne County has removed all public records off okcountyrecords.com. I called Payne County and was told they have a new site that will not produce records by legal description, so you need book and page or come to the courthouse to run records. Payne is calling this their new improved site. Here’s my rant for today… Physically running records at a courthouse is not new and not an improvement!

Virginia, OCC website is back up.

What happened to production in Devon wells: McNeill 31-19-2W No1, 2, 3, 4? Seems like the bottom fell out of the royalties.

Great slideshow on why our unconventional gas will be highly profitable.

OK O/G companies can use CO2 to enhance production also. So, if your well is making 100 barrels per day, it could make? From 500 to 15,000 is astounding, but possible.

“The captured CO2, once piped to an established Texas oil field, will boost production from 500 to about 15,000 barrels a day, the companies said.” http://www.stltoday.com/business/local/carbon-captured-from-power-plants-potential-key-to-future-oil/article_7b059816-0650-5f5e-bd64-18b4d3d30027.html

Logan: Devon Energy Production Co. LP; Branson 33_4-18N-2W No. 1WHX Well; SE/4 NE/4 NW/4 SE/4 (BHL) of 04-17N-02W; 423 barrels oil per day, 419,000 cu-ft gas per day; TD 13,808.

Martha,

Reading the article, wouldn’t there need to be a coal plant in proximity to the area to be drilled?

Linda

The bottom is falling out of the royalties on the Devon wells. My guess is that many of the wells drilled this year and last will soon need new pumps. Frac sand is pretty hard on these submersibles, and since they produced them pretty hard initially, the production rates will fall off dramatically as the pump efficiency dies off. A neighbor of mine just got his pump replaced and he is back at his initial flow rate of 600 plus barrels per day after dying off to 70 barrels per day.
