Payne County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Hoping for some help. My mother handed me some paperwork she received on mineral interests and a company (Red Stone Resources LLC) who wants to purchase them. She didn’t even know this existed until she received the packet for Sec 7-18N-4E. She has asked me to “figure this out.” Any information on where to go with this would be helpful.

Kirk They are getting ready to drill Horizontal wells all around you it looks like. I show two straight hole wells in section 1 now. In the ne/4 & nw/4

The vertical wells are Cleveland wells drilled about 5 years ago by Chizum. Those wells are shut down and have been for 6-10 months. I heard there was a receivorship/ lawsuit involved. I see all kinds of things going on that suggest you are right. Goldstar paid for the stratigraphy study and I get calls and letters about twice a week wanting to buy my rights. If they get about4X higher, I would sell 1/2 as a hedge

Does anyone have any information on NE/4 of Section 10 19N-06E. I live in Louisiana and own minerals rights. We signed a 3 year lease back in June 2011 and have not received any updates. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Randy Wilson I found two completion reports in 19n-3e ,in section 22 it tested 213 BOD & 285 MCFD. In section 1 it tested 220 BOD & no gas . I also found permits for sections 36, 35, 34,33, & 16 . No long term production info that I could find .

Kim what name would the interest be in ?

Sandra Could find nothing for 10-19n-6e

Thank you for your response Ron. All of this is very confusing to me. I inherited the mineral rights and signed a lease in 2011. I see all the comments about the different sections. How can I determine where my section is? I hope I don’t sound dumb but I have no idea what I’m searching for. Thanks again!

Kirk…my mothers name is Judy Callahan…

Kim I could find nothing in you mom’s name. Who would she have gotten it from ?

Ron, 2 rigs are up. 1 mile east of Glencoe and a second a mile east and 1/2 south of the first. Trucks moving stuff aroung the clock.

Her birth names was Lela Judith Adams…She has been Lela Judith Gross, Lela Judith Taylor and Lela Judith Callahan. She was sent the papers as Judy Callahan. She was recently the executor of the estate for James Kintrea. Maybe he had something like that.

Ron. What is the difference btwn spacing and pooling? I have looked at the list and there is a Adams on the last page…that is her only name. Talked to mom and she says still has no idea how this came about. I am doing some ancestry checking now. She says she talked to Red Stone Resources and they says she has 20 to 40 acres at about $15 to $20 an acre…

Kim Judy Callahan is listed on the spacing but not the pooling . In most cases that means she signed a lease. Do you know if that is correct ? Do you want to sale ? Would she have got her interest from James Kintrea ? Here is a link to the pooling app. Do you know any of the names. I could find no lease in your mom’s name.

The spacing tell how big the tract under the well will be. The pooling makes anyone who has not leased pick one of the options offered in the pooling so the oil co. can drill. I would not give them the time of day for $15 or $20 . Here is a copy of the spacing , Your mother’s name is on here.Look for other names you might know.

Would you care to fax or email Red Stones info to me.

So if production information is available in 7 months, thats pretty quick?

Ron, Can you tell us what might be the typical or usual time from start of drilling to production reports for a Mississippi horizontal well like those around Glencoe?

You could use 90 day to drill and frack if they start fracking soon after drilling is done . I had one that waited over two months after drilling was done to start fracking. They file a completion report sometime after the well is done. It is to be filed like sixty day after the well is done but the fine is so small and there are so many loopholes it can take a year. Also it is just a flow test and doesn’t have much to do with how they produce the well. Production information runs about 4 months behind so they have just now posted Oct. well production . Sometimes you get production info before completion report .

Unless you have a working interest in the well it sure could . With a w.i. you get daily drilling reports while the well is being drilled and production information when it starts.

Anyone know how much section 25 is producing the metcalf
