Pottowatomie County, OK - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Glad to hear it.

I would expect to hear some news about development in this section in a few weeks or months.

Usually that's what inspires offers to purchase.

I am looking for any information regarding drilling for oil and/or gas on drilling section 17-9N-3E and surrounding section in Pottawatomie County.
Are they currently drilling in the county?
Are there any completed wells that are producing oil and/or gas?
If so what are their daily production rates?
Any other information that you can provide would be helpful

they are drilling in county. There are producing well in Section 17-7N-4E

A company called Addax Mineral are buying minerals. The mans name is Field Claytor. They send me letters all the time. I finally had to ask them to stop cause there is no way I would sell my minerals! The company is out of Dallas

My wife just received an offer to lease a small mineral interest that she inherited in Section 11, 8N, 4E in Pottowatomie County, Ok. Any information on the activity in this area will be appreciated

We just got our first royalty check for $1.04! It seems its a shut in payment.

How do we notify the state of Oklahoma of an address change in case some one else wants to lease some of our mineral rights?

Tom

You will need to file a notice/affidavit in the respective county. Make sure to list the legal descriptions of your properties on the document.

I have received an offer to lease my minerals in 34-10n-4e. Does anyone know what the current rate to lease?

My first post here: It's so good to read your comments and learn the laws of the land...My mother inherited mineral deeds from her grandmother (the Cowden estate) in both Grady and Pott. Counties. Grady seems to be going nuts right now, but I've been so busy getting new deeds issued that I haven't had time to even look into the Pott. Cty properties. Currently, none are leased. Here are the sections: Sec 4 9N/5E, Sec 20 2.5ac, Sec 17 10N 4E. All are around 2.5-4 acres. This is a whole new world for me...these have been in our family for 100 years but my mother never took much of an interest before now. We are interested in leasing them and any insight you can offer on this area would be very appreciated.

We have rights in 17-10N-4E....My first question here; how close/far can they be before you consider the area common ground? Second Question: How can I learn the name of the leasing company involved? Thanks!

Hello All, i own numerous acres of mineral rights in different sections in Carter County,Pottowatomie County,Kiowa County,Seminole County and Eddy County,New Mexico. I believe surface acreage also. But not sure of exact acreage (Mineral or Surface). i inherited this from my father (Edward L. Carson) who got it from his mother (Opal D. Rexroat Carson), who got it from her father(U.T. Rexroat). I'm curious if I have any relatives in Oklahoma or wherever who may have a more exacting accounting of what I may own. i receive royaties on the producing leases. Im currently considering selling it but not if i dont know what i own. if anybody can help please let me know. [email protected]

I recently acquired an interest in three wells in Pottawatomie County:

(1) ST LOUIS EARLSBORO SU TR 13 in Section 9, 7N 4E

(2) FRANK LYNN #4 in Section 21, 7N 4E

(3) ALICE #1 in Section 36, 7N 4E.

If anyone knows about these wells, I would greatly appreciate receiving the information. Additionally, Sunoco Partners sent me division orders for each well and the division orders contain this indemnification clause: "The owner agrees to indemnify and hold Sunoco Mktg. harmless from all liability resulting from payments made to the owner in accordance with such division of interest, including but not limited to attorney's fees or judgements in connection with any suit affecting the owners interest to which Sunoco Mktg. is made a Party." I am inclined to strike the provision and send it to Sunoco and see what they do; however, have any of you other owners signed or struck the provision? Any thoughts will help.

Best wishes,

Jay L. Stone

Hello,

I have recently been contacted by CS3Land LLC, on behalf of UDX Canadian Valley LLC concerning a request for permission to conduct a geophysical survey for a term of 2 years on a piece of land that we either own or own an interest in, located in Pottawatomie County, OK. The Property description is:

(NE/4)(SW/4) of Sec-5, TSP-6N, RNG-5E

Since we have never been contacted concerning a request for permission to survey (a "mineral permit", that is), I wanted to know if there were any provisions I should be on the look out for, or should include in the permit before signing it and sending it in. Also, since this is not a lease, I am assuming that there is no fee I should be charging them to survey. Does that sound right?

Any information that anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Mathew

Mathew, I also received a request from UDX for a "Mineral permit" to conduct geophysical survey (3D type operations) for 2 years on parcels in Pottawatomie and Seminole Counties. Document says " Contractor agrees to indeminify and hold you harmless from all liability and claims". And it also is "subject to any existing valid oil and gas lease". Since we have only mineral interests and no surface interests, I can't think of any reason not to agree. Anybody else have any thoughts????

Thank you John,

I did see that, and as such I assumed that there couldn't really be any harm from signing the Permit for them to have the rights for survey. I just like to check around before I sign anything. Your help is greatly appreciated, I'll probably get it in the mail by Tuesday :)
Mathew

I think I agree with you. I also like to check with the forum. There are some great folk on here with lots of experience and a willingness to share. I've posted the question on several individual groups and so far there have been no negative responses.
