Hi, G & M - Just got production info for April for the Robinson 2, it is up very slightly, but still only 16% of, say, last July. Of the three new wells, for April’s info, only one exceeds the production of the older well from last July! So, a mixed blessing, and I guess only time will tell.
Thanks Jackie and M.
The Robinson results disappointing but up a little is better than not up at all.
The same thing happened with the 4 new Pyle wells.
Only one at 1,640b exceeded the first (parent) at 1,459b.
And the parent well production was 20,595b the last month before they shut it down for fracking and it just came back on line this month at 871b.
Hopefully, it and the Robinson will eventually get back to 90% of the original production, as the article above stated.
In short, there is neither need nor desire on the part of the White House to use oil from the SPR to keep a lid on prices.
Uh…excuse me. They already have to the tune of over 2 million barrels!
…….another U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve release, “this time 1.2 million barrels, has helped boost the rise in inventories,” he added.……and 900,000 barrels was added to supply through the release from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
They’re going to release 6 million barrels from the SPR but they claim it is for “infrastructure modernization.”
But the effect has been to help crash the price of oil to $53.36 down from $63 10 two weeks ago.
The Notice of Sale announced today includes a price-competitive sale of up to 6 million barrels of SPR crude…The proceeds from this sale will be deposited into DOE’s Energy Security and Infrastructure Modernization Fund during FY 2019.
Good news for Scoop!
And Continental Resources jumped big on the news.
That’s also good news for Scoop!
Fracking the two Nancy J wells in Sections 32,29,20-7N-6W. Just finished Refracking the original Wilkerson well in Section 20-7N-6W. Does anyone know anything about Refracking wells in Grady County?
Sorry Nancy J wells are in Sections 33,28,21-7N-6W
Just finished Fracking the Wilkerson 2 & 3 in Sections 17 & 20-7N-6W
Thanks for the update. Have they finished fracking the Nancy J wells? Are they in production? I have minerals in sec 28, 7N-6W
Pat, Yes they finished the Nancy J wells about 3 weeks ago. Should be in production.

Brookside Energy Limited - Consolidating High-Grade Position in the SCOOP Play
The latest milestone passed has seen the oil & gas company grow its operated position in the core of the Sycamore & Woodford in the South Half (SWISH) Area of Interest (AOI).
And more possible good news for Scoop.
The net effect should result in outsize draws in the U.S. this summer, which we believe will lead to higher prices.”

CONTINENTAL RESOURCES, recently filed an amended completion in their Project Springboard outline, re-stimulating a well in Section 26-7N-6W that went online back in July of 2015. The well has produced almost 336M BO thru March of this year, according to IHS.
Thanks George.
RE-STIMULATION sounds a little like drilling the well twice for twice the production.
I’d like to hear M’s comments about this.
I have gone to some very interesting talks about this very subject. A good place for technology to increase productivity. Some of the early parent wells were drilled back about 10-15 years ago. Some newer of course. The learning since then have shown the importance of fluid increase, proppant size and volume, frac stages, etc. Much cheaper to re-frac and complete an older well than to drill a new well and complete it. I think we will see quite a bit more of this recompilation as time goes on. Saving costs is critical in low price structure times.
Do you recommend anyone to look over a lease or assist us in leasing agreement before we sign.
Always wise to have an oil and gas attorney look over the lease, especially if you are new to the industry. Most draft leases offered by a company or mostly in the operator’s favor and NOT in the mineral owner’s favor. They need quite a bit of negotiation and better legal language to change to a more fair lease for the lessor (mineral owner.)
Thanks M.
That’s good news for Scoop!
They refracked the Original Wilkerson well in Sec 20-7N-6W and the KL Fulton in Sec 21 about 3 or 4 weeks ago.
