Reeves County, TX - Oil & Gas Discussion archives

Will, our family has used Wade Caldwell and were very pleased. We plan to use him again.

Wade also has a blog on this forum that you will find very informative and interesting:

This blog puts everything into perspective and gives the mineral owner very valuable insight into many aspects of mineral ownership. Check it out…

Lawyer Robert Scogin Passing

Just wanted to inform the group that Robert Scogin Esq. of Kermit, TX passed away on November 12, 2017. He was a great asset to many of us and a fantastic land owner advocate in dealings with the oil companies. Does anyone have other attorneys of the same caliber as Mr. Scogin they could recommend? Thanks very much.

We have used Wade Caldwell in our dealings with oil companies and have been very pleased with his work and results.

We also have used Wade Caldwell and been very happy. He is very generous with his info and advice on this forum.

And to answer someone’s concern from some weeks ago - concerning how lawyers bill for their oil services - we paid Mr. Caldwell from our bonus. He did not bill us in advance.

My sister & I also used Wade Caldwell & his firm’s assistance last year in negotiating multiple lease offers and then signing with the best one! We were pleased with the services we received from Wade & his firm and will definitely use them again when necessary. We signed with Colgate Energy in BLK C-18, Sec 5. Happy New Year Everyone! Here’s to a great 2018 in the Delaware Basin/Reeves County!!

Wade Caldwell, other attorneys , and staff at Barton, East & Caldwell are superb to work with. We worked with Wade and staff setting up our family Limited Partnership on our Texas land over 2 years ago. Wade also negotiated and completed our best lease last January. Chris Clark in the firm just completed our Estate Planning.

A great firm to work with.

Eric C. Camp Decker Jones, P.C. 817.336.2400 (Office) Fort Worth, Texas 817.717.5646 (Cell) Eric is my recommendation. He did good, quick work for me.

Hello,

My family’s parcel is AB 3460 BLK 58 SEC 19 PSLSW/4. It is leased, but I’m wondering if there’s been any recent activity nearby. Love this site!

thanks

Any known recent drilling activity in 56-16, or 56-6? Coming on to the last year of our lease and already getting lots of offers to buy or lease. Any information would sure be appreciated!

M Smith, any news on the Colgate’s Fiery Furnace 68 Unit to be drilled on Sec 68 A-3843. I’m on the same section, Sec 68 A-1154. Any news is good news!

Wade Caldwell, other attorneys , and staff at Barton, East & Caldwell for sure.

Hector, I’m not sure. I know there is a way to pull the data from the Texas Railroad Commission website I’m just not familiar with how to do that. I was curious myself if anything was being pumped yet, it would be nice to start getting checks.

Hector/M Smith at this time I find no spud notice(begin drilling) on wells 36330 and 36355 in A-3843 going into A-1154…Be patient.

JB,…At the intersection of county road 336 (runs east/west from Hwy 17) and
county road 121 (runs north/south west of Hwy 17). 336 runs east/west from Hwy 17 to FM2903 (paved road from Balmorhea on IH10 to Toyah on IH20. RKI has a gas well location cleared on the east side of that intersection…they haven’t started drilling yet…no equipment…but they have the Rat Hole already drilled and a fence
barricade around it…about 800 feet to the northeast of that location, they have another 10 acre location cleared where they are putting in a consolidated tank battery to collect the condensate from that gas well to be drilled and the other two existing/operating gas wells to the east
of that intersection on the north side of 336.

I can’t get more specific than that because I don’t have a section/plat map without pulling it up on the interweb. I need to get a satchel of
paper plat maps of Block 13 and most of south Reeves county and eastern Culberson county so I can give block and section numbers, even
GPS locations. Sorry about that.

Linton…this is great. Do you have Ward County in the same format?

Thank you.

Clint and Randy, thanks. Randy, I wish I did have Ward in that format. However, I do have one similar to it on my wall that I can send you a picture of if you like. Linton

I also started a new discussion where I posted the 1945 General Land Office Map. I was hesitant to do it before because I didn’t know if I could trust Dropbox. But I’ve been using it for years so I decided it was okay. Linton

Randy, I took some pics for you, tried to load them but it didn’t work. Not sure what the problem is. I sent you a friend request with my e-mail address. Linton

thank you Linton and Clint.
