Will do. Thanks
Clint, one more question.
Since there are multiple plays (layers) of shale in in this region, are the oil companies able to drill and extract oil from more than one play from the same well? If not, once a well is depleted to some point, would they be able to rework the well to access another play?
Thanks for your help.
Duncan
Yes, they can rework a well and have 2 zones commingled/producing and going into the tank battery. And they can reenter a well to deepen to another play. That could lead to another lease if there is a Pugh clause(depth clause) in effect in the original lease.
Sounds like good news!
Thanks Clint

Thanks Clint. I also noticed that of the 12 permits on Grant, 11 have been spudded. Makes me think Apache plans on doing a lot of drilling :-)
I agree with your thinking Duncan...

Hello Clint, it’s Duncan again. I’m assuming that when an oil company spuds a well they have strong intentions to drill. Under what circumstances would they spud a well and not drill?
Again, thanks for all your help.

Any word on the three wells being drilled in the Hollywood Unit by COG? #1405H, 1455H, and 1406H
Kathleen, do you have and API # on these wells? Or Section, Block or Abstract #???
Thanks,

Thank you for this information!
I have a few questions;
Myself and cousins have a small interest in Block C18, Sections 6 & 9.
We just started getting checks beginning this January (3 so far) for a well called Affirm.
According to the GIS map, this runs across part of the section.
There are also 2 other 'lines' running across our sections. Do I need to follow up on these?
Now I see that there is a well permitted entirely within one of our sections. (GalliantFox 9).
What if anything, should I be doing?
I am not even sure what questions to ask. Our lease is with MDC.
Thank you for any possible direction or clarification any can provide.

Mary Bell, I meant to send my question to Spivey and did after I realized my mistake. His reply to me should be on his web site.
