You may have already discussed drilling permits that I'm particularly interested in, and I just missed it, but I'll ask anyway. I've seen on GLO-GIS some horizontal well permits in Block 2, Sections 74-75, 96, and 98, Scurry County, with lengths of about 7500 feet, 5000 feet, and 1500 feet, respectively. Can anyone tell me what production company is involved in producing these wells, and any other info you may have about them?
Many thanks, John B.
Thanks for the info, Clint, particularly regarding the horizontals that Trail Ridge Energy is drilling. Would it inconvenience you to inform me whether Trail Ridge has drilled, or has permits to drill, other horizontals in the same area east of Snyder, along the southern edge of Block 2? I’m interested because a couple of years ago I refused to lease my minerals to Range Resources since I thought that a 20% royalty was not fair. I insisted on 25%. Just a few months ago Trail Ridge called me and said they had bought up many leases of Range Resources in and south of Section 140, and that they would sign a lease with me, giving me 25% and $700/acre bonus. I agreed, and my lawyer, experienced in oil & gas, drew up a contract that Trail Ridge signed with me. So naturally, I’m interested in all of Trail Ridge’s activities in that area. I certainly would appreciate any further information that you could relay to me. Many thanks again, John B.

John,
I checked every approved permit for Scurry County from January 1, 2014 to present day and no permits to drill have been approved for Trail Ridge Energy. I am suspecting they have sold their leases to some other company/producer. The companies/producers that I found that were actively drilling Scurry County for the last 9 months were Kinder Morgan, La Roca Energy, Probe Exp., Occidental Permian, Parallel Pet., Four C Oil and Gas, Sharp Image Energy, Unitex Oil and Gas, Oxy USA, H P Slagel Prod., Apache Corp, King Operating, West Inland Energy, Philmar, Schlachter Operating Corp., King Operating Corp. and CML Exploration.
