I called Roan a couple of weeks ago and they said division orders were with attorneys for final review. They didn’t know how long it would take them. They said we would get our check plus interest as soon as the division orders are approved.
Have you seen anything or heard anything from Roan or Citizen lately? I’ve called and left messages, but not heard a thing back. It is coming up on a year since first-sales, which is plenty of time to tell mineral rights owners where the process of being paid stands.
Someone is going to owe some interest payments. Both wells have been online since 3/10/19.
I talked to Division Order department at Citizen. They hope to have them out before end of April at the latest. We’ll see!
Still haven’t seen a division order, though I have received two checks, one for the first year of production, the other for March. There are some serious issues regarding whether they paid the correct amount, and the production interest is odd, so it is now back to their division order specialist’s desk. This might delay others’ division orders, though I hope not.
We received division orders last week. The RI was correct. We received a partial payment for 12 months production in April, and were told the remainder would be paid on June 25. I’m waiting to see if it includes interest. I sent a certified letter to Roan Resources several months ago so I may need to send a letter to Citizen to get it.

It is common to get it in partial payment and then get more payment and then interest. Keep the stubs from each one so you can compare when the 1099’s come out.
On that note, keep your check statement runs for at least seven years for income tax purposes. I scan mine and back them up in the cloud.
