I own acres in Dimmit county Tx. (I Recently purchased). At the onset of the Eagle ford boom there was seismic geo testing done on and of my subsurface minerals, I possess majority mineral rights. My question is do I have legal rights to the results. And if so How would I go about acquiring the results.
Most likely, you do not own the rights to the seismic as it is usually proprietary. Your lease may state that you do, but most do not.
If you signed their form, there is no doubt that you do not get the tapes or any interpretations.
If you signed their form, the data belongs to them, which they can resell and you would receive no share of the sale.
If you were represented, then all of that could change very quickly.
