Noticed all the rest of the 42 pages were reported before the first of the year so if anyone has a special one they missed let me know and I will try to look it up. Otherwise that’s the end of my completion reports for today. Have a Blessed Day everyone!
The call did not discuss the drilling of new horizontals in other sections. Is it possible they would use his Poteet data in other areas? Specifically, I am wondering if this could be a strategy in the sections 20 and 29, the sections the Hundley and Wilkins wells are in.
Yes the Hundley 1-20-29XH is a multi-unit in 1N/5W. The Poteet wells are in 17 and 20-2N/4W.
Hutch, I must have been asleep at the wheel, well the laptop anyway. I haven’t noticed any mention of the Hundley. Of course I’m happy about all those Poteets, but I have fewer acres in 20 than in 29. To bring me up to date, what is the status of the Hundley? It must be just in the first stages, since I haven’t gotten any paperwork on it.
Okay Hutch, ignore the comment. Apparently I’m still asleep at the laptop. Took another look at your post and see the Hundley is in lN-5W. Well, it explains why I hadn’t heard of it.
Jen, CR webcast at 11:00am today http://www.contres.com/ Also a slick presentation to go with it. Now for the hard part…DOs! My cousins and I have already started pestering the DO analyst, no promises yet.
Still waiting for completion reports on #2 and 4.
Kathlyn and Jeff, my take on this is yes they will use the results of the Poteet density project for future multi-well units. They have proven that the combination of vertical and horizontal spacing they used with the Poteets was a success. Specific sections, I can’t say but 2N/4W is definitely the sweet spot. If prices hold up I think there will be more Poteet type projects in the area. The map I link to below will give you an idea of the spacing of the Poteet wells in 17 and 20. As you can see there is still room in 17 for 6-8 more wells to go north into sec 8. Continental has said they expect to do some multi-units in these sections and I’m thinking they might be in the Springer formation. Price of oil will determine if and when that occurs.
Thanks Hutch. Doesn’t sound like future Poteets would help me though; I’d need something that goes through 20 and 29. Oh well, I’m grateful for what I’ve got.
Kathlyn, Both 20 and 29 are multi-unit filings I believe. That could be really good news if they use the same tech on those sections. We may just have to wait for oil to rebound more.
Wendy completion report on Forrest 2-8H:
http://www.occpermit.com/WellBrowse/Webforms/WellInformation.aspx?I…
If you mean you signed Division Orders you should get paid this month. First sale from that well was 11-14-14.
Forrest 2 has been paying for a couple of months. I’d call the div order dept.
Hutch- thanks for the good news. We’ve waited a long time to hear about these Poteets.
For those who don’t want to hunt through the CLR release in Hutch’s post about the Poteets. Big time results.
An important SCOOP milestone in first quarter 2015 was the completion and initial sales in early March from the 10-well Poteet density pilot project. The Poteet wells flowed at combined peak production rates of 147 MMcf and 3,240 Bo per day. The Company has an average working interest in the wells of 94%.
The cumulative production to date for the 10 Poteet density wells is a total of 6.5 Bcf and 131,800 Bo. The wells are currently averaging combined production rates of 106 MMcf and 1,730 Bo per day, with flowing tubing pressure ranging from 1,500 to 2,400 psi.
The Poteet project was the Company’s first dual-level density pilot in the SCOOP Woodford condensate window and consisted of five wells each in the upper and lower halves of the Woodford with approximately 150 feet of vertical separation. Wells in each group were spaced approximately 1,025 feet apart, with an average lateral length of 7,515 feet. The Poteet unit is located in the northeastern corner of Stephens County, where the Woodford formation is approximately 380 feet thick.
Hutch, thanks for the link to the Clr report. Wish I understood it better. Does it mean they will use the results in other nearby sections, or does it indicate they would drill still more Poteets at other depths? But how many more Poteets could there be?
Hi Mike…thanks for the well wishes! As far as the Jarrod well, it is in the Springer and was such a great well to start with but fracing in the area “they say” killed it and our check was WAY WAY down on it and I’ve been told it will be even smaller next month however it has started to come back some but we were told “don’t buy Christmas presents yet” by a man in the know about it. Hopefully it will come back some more. Don’t know if the Branch wells were hurt by the same thing but they are a small fraction of what they were to start with. If anyone know would like in on the info. Thanks
Does anyone know whats going on with the Forrest 2 in sec 8 2n 4w…i received signing, but nothing
The Jarod has a pad in Section 21 2n4w and was supposed to run north through 16 and on through 9 2n4w (with 16 and 9 sharing equal halves but they had some problems so they couldn’t go on into 9 so 16 got the only perforations. It was a well that went through the Springer but all the others to my knowledge drilled from 21 (the Branches and Casadoes) all were drilled down to the Woodford. For some reason the Springer well was affected by the fracing of the Woodford shale wells around there and the other wells in the Woodford were not killed to my knowledge. I had heard of one (I believe the first) Casadoes well being killed by the fracing of one of the Branch wells but I believe it came back after a few months. I’m not sure about that but that was what I was told. If that’s the case I’m sure all of us would like ours to be the last ones drilled and fraced!!! lol Maybe good things will come to those who wait.
does anyone have news on Oceana’s division orders? First production was Dec 22. Section 8 and 17 1N 5W. Or heard of any other activity or plans in that area? I’m beginning to wonder if ther is even a well there!
BOB BERRY–S 1 and S12 in T2N R4W
Has NWX drilled and completed any of the planned multiple new wells
Robert R
Robert, NFX has not obtained their unitization order yet. Therefore, they have not even filed any Intents to Drill. I would be surprised if they started drilling before the 3rd quarter.
