A well 4 miles east from wellman came in at 238 bbls oil with 833 bbls of salt water.
$19,040 in daily gross revenue …
Assuming the mineral owner received 25% royalty … that’s $4760 per day for his cut or $142,800 per month.

The production report numbers in Terry County are coming in at a steady increase. Obviously, the geologist are learning more about the formation in our area.
I have some minerals in the West 1/2 of Section 4, Block C.O., Public School Land (Abstract 430) in Terry County. Having a hard time finding it on the RRC site or the GLO site. Could anyone help?
George, I don’t think ppl are trying to be rude by ignoring your request for help; it’s just that your request is a very tough one … trying to explain how to navigate that site ! … I’ve been to the RRC website a thousand times and still have a tough time. It’s like trying to explain directions to some place out in the country; you know where it is but you can’t really explain it to someone.
Hello George Cato,
Can you tell me the direction from the closest town or community the land is located. If so, I’ll try to find it for you. Shelby
Here is the GLO website link to their mapping: http://www.glo.texas.gov/GLO/agency-administration/gis/index.html
Click on it and it will, then look in the top right corner for instructions. It might take a little bit to navigate but not difficult. If all else fails, call one of the people listed - they has proven to be pretty helpful.
Craig, Shelby, Gene: Thanks for responding. This was a case of “garbage in, garbage out” because my input data to the GLO was bad. Found it this morning. It is located about 4 miles southeast of Ropesville, 5 miles northeast of Meadow. Bounded on the north by CR 210, the south by CR 214, the east by 601 and west by 581. Lat 33 21’ 58" and Long 102 06’ 39".
I have noticed that there is no completion data on wells completed a year ago. it has probably been submitted, but since this is a state office that is understaffed, data has not been entered into the system…jmho
See the video on the home page for how to check on “pending” wells on RRC website, which is where most of these recent ones are.
RHH - I learned at one of the royalty owners’ conferences that the RRC is good about posting data soon after they get it (they said within days of receipt). The delay is usually caused by the operator not submitting the report - it turns out there are ways to legally get around the time requirement depending on how they define ‘completion’, ‘dry hole’, etc…and the definitions are pretty loose. For competitive reasons, Operators don’t want to reveal their results on new wells until it’s to their advantage. Very frustrating for us, to be sure!
Took a drive west of Wellman today. Both W&T horizontal wells still in some stage of fracking. Hope their geologists have the wolf camp solved.
On August 26, 2012, The Brownfield New reported the following well completion information in NE Terry county:
Terry County

11,544’ producing interval, 160 acre lease
***** 24 HR. POTENTIAL TEST *****

5 barrels of oil per day, 3,000 cubic feet of gas per day, 48
barrels of water per day, no choke, pumping, 39 degree API oil,
stimulated with 3,500 gallons of 15% NEFE acid
My question is that when I go to the Texas RR Map and try to look up information on this well on their website, the Texas RR Map indicates that the Railroad Commission has no completion data on this well, nor do they have any well logs submitted yet. There seems to be a conflict there. I thought companies were required to file that information with the Texas Railroad Commission.
I am looking for any news on proctor 94
That’s what I did. The info is not there.
Once again is there any new news on the proctor 94 lease. Last I heard they were running electricity
Pat,
That is all that we know on the Proctor 94.
Remember as well, there are landman who will hire “shells” to spread negative rumors. If a landman can convince mineral owner that there is little or no oil in the area … than he might buy or lease minerals on the cheap, then flip the sale to a major oil company for a mega profit. And he may retain 1/8 of the minerals as his brokerage fee.
Pat, I don’t think any of us will know much of anything until about a year from now.
Elbert, which is one of the mineral owners of Proctor 94, told me that he spoke with some of the drillers in the area, including the drillers of Proctor; and they responded that all the drillers, geologist and everyone else in the area are being threatened with their jobs if they release any type of information regarding the status of any drilling activities or production reports of same.
And this is highly understandable since the various oil companies are spending billions of dollars exploring the area. In other words, why would someone spend 10 million dollars for discovery, then share the information with others for free ?
So basically, it seems like we have “shells” on both sides of the isle, trying to feed us misinformation. In reality, I suspect the rumors regarding dry holes are actually gushers and vice versa.
The only thing we can actually count on, is the fact that all the oil companies seem to be renewing their leases in the area and that seems to be a positive indicator.
They’ve renewed ours last month and I’m highly anguish for them to get started with the drilling. I’m hoping like hell for a horizontal drill !
Lasted that I know for a fact on Proctor 94 is: 1) The electricity line has been temporally postponed. 2) Water was seen being pumped from water well on property into the dirt tanks as early as Friday. 3) Electric generator has been removed from location. 4) On Saturday, a work over rig was back along with a large trailer with unknown cargo. Then on Sunday morning trailer was gone but cargo on the ground.
Now someone tell me that they are doing all of this on a dry hole! I don’t think so! Only time will tell what is really happening on Proctor 94.
Agree with Craig’s opinion and eager to see if WT Offshore will share directional results of its horizontal drilling program in Terry county in their next public market release in January. Perhaps they will to keep quiet as we suspect - until absolutely necessary.
