An individual can create his/her own deeds without involvement of an attorney. This can save you a few hundred dollars if done correctly. Beware of form vendors as many provide improper or outdated forms. Be sure to comply with stating the correct document tax exemption, comply with the new document margins rule, an “all properties” phrase can pick up any omitted or misidentified properties and a “not intent to cloud” other properties is advisable. A memorandum, certificate or affidavit of trust is also advisable so that the successor trustees are identified.
