I own a small interest in the Devon-operated Leck horizontal wells located in Section 17. In the past 8 months I’ve received 3 letter inquiries from mineral companies interested in purchasing my interest. I think Devon has 9 horizontal Woodford producers in this unit already. Is anyone aware of deeper or shallower horizontal drilling targets than the Woodford, that could be developed, and which may be responsible for the solicitations I am receiving? Thanks for your help.
It is possible that there are shallower shale horizons in the Mississippian that could be future targets.
