This is how to find 2013 production information for Marcellus wells.

1. Go to: http://www.dep.wv.gov/oil-and-gas/Pages/default.aspx

2. Click Database and Map information

3. Click on Search Oil and Gas Database

4. Click on Search for Oil and Gas Wells

5. Go to the bottom of the Form where it says API Number , put 017 in first box. Put the 5 digit identifier in the second box. Example: 06789

If there has been production reported it will be here. If questions, ask. I may or may not have the answer.

STEP 3 IS WHERE IT GETS TRICKY. When you click on Database and map information it brings up the next drop down choices. But to the right is a item that reads “Oil and gas production data” DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR 2013 DATA. Go down to “Search Oil and Gas Database” I learned the hard way. Then go to the second bulleted item to the right. “Search for Oil and Gas Wells”.
