Recently working with my elderly grandmother on a stack of papers. I ran across this location showing she has 1/2 interest on a mineral deed. We have a trip planned to Lea County from the Midwest later this month to update records. I would like to know if there is any known activity on this location.

That is not a standard legal description. Because you said Lea County, I assume you mean Section 22 of Township 14 South, Range 35 East. If so, here is the well map from the New Mexico OCD. Red dots are inactive wells, black dots are active wells, and blue dots are new permits (none). As you can see there is no activity in Section 22 and no new permits in the whole township. I don’t suspect there will be much activity in this area until prices increase substantially.
