I live in Walker County Texas and was wondering how the two recently drilled selassie wells in Huntsville are producing? Will they impact leasing in the area?
They look like weak dry gas wells, no liquids, but maybe at current natural gas prices the numbers work for vertical wells that only have to go 2700’. Also helps that they appear to be right next to an existing gas pipeline.
The completion reports Lavaca Canyon filed with RRC say the #1 tested at 189 mcf/day and #2 153 mcf/d. For some reason they haven’t reported production to RRC on either well but the Comptroller’s office shows gas sales starting last June. The highest month for the #1,which is the best of the two, averaging about 400 mcf/day.
