Reeves County filing of Affadavit of Heirship for Sam Prewitt 255-256UnitA-13H Nobel Energy. Has anyone entered this process for this field? We are heirs to a 5 acre plot that has been traversed and has produced. Total neophytes. Any ideas on how to proceed.?
Since Noble was acquired by Chevron in October, 2021 I’m guessing you have already been in touch with Chevron concerning what you will need to provide them to document your heirship. If not, here’s where Chevron say to email general ownership questions. [email protected]
You said your interest is related to the well designated as the 13H in the Sam Prewitt 255-256 Unit A. According to RRC records Unit A is a 301.16 acre pooled unit that, along with the 13H, also includes wells called the 11H, 12H and 34H. If you own the mineral interest in 5 acres that was included in Unit A it looks like you would own an interest in all four of those wells, not just the 13H.
Below is the unit plat for 11H well that shows the boundaries for Unit A and the paths of all four wells that are part of the unit. The permit applications for the four wells in Unit A included a “Due Diligence Letter” saying the original operator, Rosetta Resources, searched but wasn’t able to locate the owners of the 5 acre piece that’s designated on the plat as Tract 2 and shows the name “Heirs of P.L. Turner, et al”. I’m wondering if that might be related to the mineral interest you inherited?
