Alexander heirs (Cousins) who are on this forum for Section 16. We own minerals in other Counties, so please e mail me, Charlie Grant, at [email protected] for information.
Thanks Linda:
I have not heard back from any of the Alexanders. They are spread across the Country. So, I appreciate updates about Section 16, 2N 4W progress. By the way, if we find out that we have more minerals that were never filed, do you know if they can be filed after the division orders are done, or even if payments have been made? This may be the case with some of the Alexander heirs.
Thanks !!

Section 16 is looking pretty sweet these days! We have royalty there also (not an Alexander heir however) and we are just waiting for them to finish with the last rig on the Branch Wells (going from a pad on 21). Word this morning is that they are at 16,000 feet and have decided to stop short of the length first proposed for the lateral. I don't know if that means we will get less percentage of the take on that one than first thought or not. So it probably won't be long now and they are supposed to frac them all together (five of them) one right after the other using the same frac water for all of them. Target date for fracking now I think is June 1st. We shall see! Best Wishes!
Charlie...I don't know the answer to your question about filing minerals that haven't been filed. I know some Alexanders in Lindsay. I went to school with Wade Alexander in Lindsay and Isabel Alexander is his mother. Are they any relation to the ones you are looking for? I know how to get a hold of them is so. Let me know.
Thanks again Linda.
The Alexanders who are heirs are now spread across the West. I saw on a pooling order that one of my cousins is in Taiwan, and others are likely in California. I had seen a few replies a while ago on the Stephens Co. forum, but no response yet. I still want to get back there to do research, but it may take awhile. IN the meantime, I have prayers for those who were affected by the Tornado. We out in the West cannot even imagine what life like this is for those who live there. Thanks for all of your posts, as you are obviously well informed. Most of the rest of us are just trying to learn. Thanks again..

Charlie...after I got to thinking about it I believe you can record you royalty at any time if you find some that hasn't been recorded yet. I don't believe it would matter if you have DO's or payments made. The court clerk at the Duncan courthouse (if Stephens Co. minerals) could tell you for sure. After you record it you might want to notify Newfield if it's in 16 2n,4w, for sure. By the way they are running pipe on the last Branch well as we speak so they shouldn't be long starting the Frac jobs. Exciting Times!!!
p.s. I talked to the Wade Alexander that I went to school with and he didn't know of any royalty they had there. Said his mom had a little in Grady Co. (which is also hot right now) but like you said he may just not know about it. I believe he said his family were from down around east Texas.
Charlie,
You exact situation is going to determine what has to be done. So many times rights are “inherited” and there is not judicial process to back it up. It then becomes a big mess.

I will call the County on Monday. I have realized that for this branch of the family who left the farm in 1937, all of them are on the West Coast, or in one case, out of the Country. I'll follow up.
