Lynn Chad is on top of it . I didn’t think to look in 28 .
Thanks Chad and Ron!
I am new to the Mineral Rights Forum so I’m not sure if I should be posting my questions on the wall or discussion forum. I apologize if I’ve got it wrong. I am located in Minnesota and have very little knowledge of the area or oil/gas. Thru my family, I have mineral rights in Alfalfa Co. 19-28N-10W. I have a lease with Sandridge. They have drilled two wells. One is Collins 2810 1-19H which started producing late last November and the other is 2-19H which I think may have just started producing. The first well had an initial rate of about 300 barrels of oil per day and 3146 cu ft? of gas per day. I have many questions. Is this a decent well for the area? I’m assuming the intial production rates drop off? Do they typically level off at some point? If so have they estimated how long they might produce? I have not received a royalty check yet–hopefully soon-so I have no sense of the value of the gas. Sandridge has the right to deduct production costs against the value of the gas. Is there a typical % deduction? If they are reporting 300 barrels of oil per day, is that truly oil that I can calculate using the price per barrel or is it some type of oil equivelent that is worth less? Any help in navigating and/or understanding this would be greatly appreciated.
James

Does anyone else own minerals in 27n 11w, or 10w (NE Cherokee unit)? Linn energy has held ours in production in the pennsylvania formation. Chesapeake did seismic completed in Jan… All wells near our sections have been very good. Just wondering if anyone has heard of sandridge or Chesapeake drilling on Linn’s behalf into the mississipian in the NE Cherokee unit. They have rigs very close… Any info would be appreciated. -mike
Yes Mike 36 27 11 should be drilled and completed by the end of July. Scheduled sooner but I doubt it will be timely. That is south and west of the unit. It appears there have been wells drilled in the unit around the river and yes they have been pretty good
I have some in11& 14of 27 10. we have one good well in 11 but can not get going on many more wells there since they now have control of the whole section they need not get in a hurry now.
RH I have interest in 25 27 11 24 27 11 and 19 27 10. All currently locked up by Linn. Sec 36 is directly south of my sec 25… So Linn has gone in with sandridge or Chesapeake on some wells to get them drilled in this area??? Looks like sandridge is drilling multiple wells per sec and Chesapeake is not…
Yes I agree, Chesapeake will eventually drill multiple wells as there past presentations have predicated 4 per section… I am not aware of anyone releasing, they are probably not going to let leases expire in this area more likely in kansas would be my guess, as wells in alfalfa have been the best…So do you know if Linn has participated in any mississipian wells in the area, I know they are not going to drill but surely they will participate to develop their holdings.
My guess is that Chesapeake will also drill multiple wells as soon as they drill existing leases before they expire. They are running very close to losing some existing leases. Some of Sandridge 2nd wells are better than 1st. Do you know of anyone releasing lately?
I dont know if they are participating or farm out. Lamamco, the old operator, has to be pissed as this could be a large payday for Linn. Need to find the old lease to see if we are leased at 1/8 or 3/16. That said I dont know anyone who has participated in their wells. I would consider it given the production of the wells in our area.
RH I have participated in wells but not in Alfalfa Co. if I can be of some help let me know .

M Wheeler The well in 13 from the first sale in March 2012 to end of Feb. 2013 did 35,856 BO & 87,909 MCF of gas . The well in 18 from Aug. 2012 to the end of Oct. 2012 did 33,443 BO and 85,210 MCF of gas. Don’t know why the production info stopped in Oct.
Thanks Ron… Not too bad at all especially in sec 18…
