We went by there last month and discovered that in one day the truck had been there 3 times to fill and take a load of oil to the refinery. That seems like a lot. How do we know that they are recording the correct amount of oil retrieved? How can they be held accountable to be trustworthy. Past dealings have left me feeling like I can’t trust them.
If you can see the meter without trespassing, you can write down the numbers. You can check the amounts of production listed on your check against the OTC tax site numbers. Oil will usually be fairly close. Gas, not so much for a variety of reasons. Perfect verification is probably wishful thinking…
