Anyone have a recommended software they use for managing minerals, working interest, and/or royalty interests? I am looking for something that can track what we own, offers to lease, leased, and wells that have come in.
Thanks,
Tom

Dear Tom.
I use LandBoss and find it to be good from the landman side and adequate from the landowner side, unless you have significant mineral holdings, multiple clients, etc. LandBoss is not set up for royalty tracking yet. Would not be hard to design a revenue module to drop in. It is cloud based so updates are seamless
I use the old fashioned way to track royalties. . Excel Spreadsheet. Works as well as anything else. Best part is that you can export the excel files to a format that will merge with a database that you create, so that you can really manipulate the data.
Buddy,
Thank you for your note. I had purchased a commercial software, but the company went out of business. So I'm back in the market for software. I think I am going to use the in-house excel spreadsheet approach. Would you send me an example file that I could use as a template? If not, I understand.
Thanks,
Tom Hampton
Hello, I'm interested in a Mac software for the same purpose. It seems to me learning book keeping and Excel would be the way to go. Thoughts?
