We are currently in the 2 year extension of our lease with Apache, off of hwy 17 just NW of Saragosa in Reeves county. 2 questions, Apache extended the lease option last year. I know there has been a lot of turmoil in the industry this year. Any thoughts on if they are renewing contracts in that area? Also, we are one of several owners in the undivided section. Should we negotiate together as a unit or just negotiate, w/ counsel, as an individual owner? If as a whole, how do I locate the other owners of mineral rights for our section? Thanks for any reply…

There was a discussion on this forum earlier this year about Apache walking away from the Alpine High area - See Apache Ditches Alpine High After $3B Writedown. Apache has not filed any permits in Reeves County since January 2020. I do not know what companies might be leasing in that area.
