Are there any others on this forum that received this letter?

I have holdings in this area, I would like to see the letter if you could share it.
I might have some opinion if I knew what the application was for.
Going out on a limb here; If it's to change spacing to 2560, I would be against it, unless you have an equal or more net acres in the adjoining sections, there are 3 incomplete wells there after all. If they were producing in a 1280, they would stay 1280, completed in a 2560 might be a bit of a grey area. Remember that upspacing doesn't affect the operators paycheck, their NRI remains the same in each well but if the acres double and you don't own at lease equal acres in the other sections, your check is going to get smaller, possibly only 50% of what it would have been. Some would say that, you would be entitled to production from future wells drilled in the other sections. Hmm, let me think about that? Money today or money possibly 5 or more years from now? Possibly never?
Also, as I am sure you know, you need to pay great attention when they serve you with a certified letter, they want to make sure they can prove you had a chance to object if you don't like what happened later, as opposed to the normal notice letter.

All I got was a map.

200 feet wide and 10,000 feet long could be quite a bit of oil, just make sure you are on the right side of the equation or complain. If it's your well, you need do nothing.
What about those in section 20? If Hess is going lateral through sec 20, wouldn’t they too have interest?
Pam, they are drilling it on the western boundary of the 18-19 spacing, in 20 you are on the east side, so there is almost a mile between you and this lateral. I think for you this should be a non-issue, unless of course they mixed up east and west.
God knows, I have seen bigger errors by lawyers and I don't know why they would even be contacting you since the described well is on the far side of the spacing from your spacing with almost a mile between. You might call Crowley Fleck and make sure that west isn't incorrect.
Possibly they are using a shotgun approach and everyone in a spacing gontiguous to 18-19 got a letter.
