Fracking across a zone can destroy a vertical well. Iv spent years of my life trying to squeeze off Frac damage to vertical wells. Run liners. Run internal casing patches. Pressure test bad. Hunt holes. Resqueeze. Casing blows up while fracking etc. it’s a goat rope

The state will make the Frac operator pay for repairs to vertical well owners until mechanical integrity is restored. Basically open ended liability until you fix the Frac damage. Plus a rod pump. First thing that happens is rod pump locks up
