Case No. 16-CV-388-KEW.
Note that YOU MUST FILE a claim form in order to participate in the settlement. The documents regarding the case, list of wells and claim form may be found at:
Pay attention to the time frame as you are not automatically included in payments unless you file.
There are 80 wells on the list. Time frame is from Jan1, 2012 to March 31, 2017. The time frame to file is “90 days from the date on which the Judgment approving the settlement become Final and Non-Appealable.” (sooner is better)
If you wish to exclude yourself from the case, then your time frame is even shorter. Read the case documents.
This is another good reason why you should save all your check stub statements for at least seven years. In this case, eight years. Go back through your stubs and check and see if you were paid interest in a timely fashion on the wells that pertain to you.
You can check the OK Tax site (Gross Production) for the “active” date which is pretty close to the first sales date which can also be found on the completion report (sometimes) (Test). Then go through your records and see if you were paid the first royalties within the 180 days statutory limit and if you were paid interest if that payment was late.
