Have not seen any interest in these minerals in many years. Only well was plugged long ago. Last royalty check was probably 1985. Then i get a call this week with some interest in leasing! Anyone aware of any activity down this far?
No clue. Unless I’m reading it wrong EOG took out a lease on multiple sections in Block 100 in 2024. Which seems like a reach. But shrug. EOG tries things, but this seems like a bold place to try something.
EOG had some wells over on Noelke outside Sheffield but sold them yrs ago and Urban was the operator. Heard they were not interested in going back so this should be interesting to watch and see what happens.
Pretty far off the beaten path. I know they’re big on gas and that seems to be all there is down there. I can’t imagine kicking off a gas project with waha pricing.
