Back in 2017 my sister said here sign these papers. I did. I had no clue. The agreement was with Maoli Energy LLC. 1/5 part production on Sections 11 and 14 township 5 north, range 3 west, 100 acres. For three years, we got paid $600/acre. Is this fair value or NOT?
“Fair value” is a nebulous standard. It is certainly “adequate.”
Water under the bridge. The 1/5th royalty is certainly better than a 3/16ths royalty. The bonus doesn’t matter that much in the long term scheme of things.
I would counter with 21% royalty with a $400 bonus, but that is just my opinion and I do not want to influence you in anyway
