Various maps show that Eastland County is in the section of the Barnett Shale which might produce oil. Is there any current production from shale in the county?

These 5 wells have been permitted since November 1, 2012 to the present date and none would be Barnett Shale wells in my opinion.

I would say if any of the wells permitted this year in Eastland County, this well that was permitted in March 2012 would be the only one that might target the Barnett Shale.
