Bastrop county leasing

We inherited 677 acre’s of mineral rights. We know nothing about this. There was lease activity several years ago. The property is in Bastrop County Texas. How do you get contacted about leasing,? Do you need to advertise,? Thanks for any help.

Caroline

If your name and address are properly filed in the Bastrop County Courthouse with a description of the acres and the title documents, then if landmen are interested, they will find you. If you share the Abstract number, then someone on the forum may be able to help you with current activity-if any. Operators will not be leasing if they are not interested.

Thank you so much. I know for sure the address is wrong.

We would rather sell it if we could find someone.

They cannot find you to buy if you don’t have your address correctly filed at the county courthouse. That is where landmen and buyers go first.

Thank you so much. I will contact the courthouse and see who we need to contact to have this changed.

We really appreciate your help

Thanks Caroline

It may be the “recorder of deeds” or check with them to see what the person is called who is in charge of change of address and title documents.

The far eastern side of Bastrop has production. All about location.

Hi we got the address changed. You mentioned an abstract number. What is that ?

Thank you

The counties are divided up into parcels called Blocks, Abstracts and surveys.

As you zoom in on the map, you can see the names of the abstracts and the section numbers in the corners. Plus wells if your are zoomed in close enough.

Do you have a price that you would like to sell for?
