I am a descendent of JE Trainer. I have one eighth interest of an oil lease on bear rocks #1 in doddridge county. I want to find info on it. Want to know if another well opening up is also on that property. Antero Resourses will pay me so they can close the well which is not producing. What should I do, because once i'm paid and sign the papers I won't have a claim. I am one of several on this deal.We believe this well is on 105 acres in the New Milton district
So there's an old lease that is still in effect, and Antero is wanting to plug the old non-producing well? Sounds like a decent deal to me, but I'd want to take a look at the paperwork first. What kind of claim are you talking about? Also, if the old well isn't producing, how is the lease still in existence? Is it a recent lease? Are they making some kind of payments to keep it alive?

Hi: My name is Arnold Stuart and I own 1/16th Oil and 1/2 interest in gas on twenty Ac. of land in Meathouse Fork, In New Milton district. I have been told by Antero that even though I own this interest, my Grandfather purchased royalty interest only, reserved by Stillman Nutter, and that Antero or anyone who wants to lease and develop this property cannot take a lease from me. This being said , I am still entitled to my share of any oil and gas that is produced from this track.
The reason that I am responding to your post is that I have a copy of deed that my Grandfather did purchase the above track from J.E.Trainer on Oct. 2nd 1944. Deed book 89, page 411.
Now this info may not tie into your request, as their are a lot of properties in New Milton district. Perhaps we should talk. My telephone # is 435-867-1913, E-mail [email protected].
